Hi guys! Bit of a long post coming in, I just wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience to me when applying for Bond! I’m a graduate student, who has completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in 2020 (first class). In 2021 I began studying a masters degree in clinical psychology, where I have achieved a GPA of 6.14 in my first year. I spoke with QTAC today to ask about my calculated selection rank and they told me that they would use my completed bachelors + embedded honours in addition to my current masters degree to calculate my selection rank (which was all good and well!). However, they proceeded to tell me that they would use my previous incomplete studies as well. For context prior to completing my B Psych (Hons) I chopped and changed degrees 3 times (Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), then finally B Psych (Hons). Given that these degree changes occurred prior to me completing my undergraduate studies, I was under the impression it wouldn’t count towards my overall selection rank (as I’ve now completed a degree) and the only subsequent study which should count is my masters marks - based upon Bonds entry assessment table).
Long story short, has anyone had this happen to them before? This happened last year and I don’t want to miss out again. I’ve spoken to QTAC about it but can’t get a straight answer. Sorry for such a long/potentially irrelevant post!
