Bond Bond Medicine: General Discussion

Bond doesn’t have any special pathways that have ever been mentioned here in my time at MSO. ATARs aren’t boosted and there’s no rural entry. An ATAR in the 94s, as you’ve pointed out, is unlikely to receive a psychometric test invite, unfortunately.
Would Bond uni consider 95.3 ATAR??

If the "prior study" section on the QTAC website has "Yes" next to it, does that mean you've satisfied the minimum GPA requirement? This is under entry requirements.

Hi! are you an undergraduate student?

If so, my understanding is that "yes" next to the "No prior tertiary study" section means that you have not completed any prior undergraduate study (i.e. it has been verified that you are an undergraduate student and not a postgraduate student).

Bond does not have a minimum GPA requirement. This is because it varies every year with every new cohort of applicants. However, based on data from previous years, a minimum gpa greater than 6/7 is generally required to receive a psychometric test invite.

Hi guys I am a student here at bond med. If anyone needs any help or tips for the psychometric test then feel free to hit me up :)
Hey could you pm me :)

Hello, I found this GPA to selection rank table by UQ:

https://study.uq.edu.au/sites/default/files/2020-03/tertiary-studies-selection-rank-info-sheet.pdf

According to these tables - a 5.5/7 GPA would equal a 97.00 selection rank (one full-time year or more)

If this were the case- it would be worth a shot to apply to bond?
Last year the cutoff for undergraduates was 96.75 and graduate 98.5. If that GPA equates to a 97 selection rank it's always worth applying. Selection ranks are always subjective to change each year as they depend on the cohort group that year.

I just completed my Bachelor's degree in 2022, and I am applying for 2023 intake.

Does your section say "no prior tertiary study" or "prior tertiary study"? if it is the latter, then it makes sense that it says "yes".

If it is the former, I encourage you to contact QTAC to clarify what the "yes" next to "no prior tertiary study" means. My understanding is that given that you are a postgraduate student and therefore do have prior tertiary study, it should say "no" (or the equivalent word/phrase that QTAC uses) next to your "no prior tertiary study" section.

It says "prior tertiary study" and it says "yes" next to it. I was thinking does the "yes" mean that I've met the minimum GPA requirement or the fact that I have done a Bachelor's degree.

In that case as you are a postgrad, the "yes" makes sense (for undergraduate students, it says "no prior tertiary study" and for postgraduate students it says "prior tertiary study").

The "yes" means that QTAC has verified and confirmed that you are a postgraduate student instead of an undergraduate student.

There is no minimum GPA requirement, therefore QTAC cannot assess if you have met it. They will be able to assess this after the application closes.

Hope this helps!

Hi, does anybody know how long the psychometric test is valid for? I sat it last year and got to the interview stage (didn't attend the interview tho). I'm re-applying this year, will I be expected to sit the test again or is it valid for 2 years?

Also with applying, do we just add our preferences to QTAC and that is all?
It's valid for 2 years so you shouldn't need to redo it this year

Hey everyone, not sure if it has been mentioned but make sure that Bond is your TOP PREFERENCE on QTAC if you are applying. If it's not the top preference you won't be considered so please make sure to do this!

Hi! I've sent you a message, would be happy to share some tips. Also there are a few free emotional intelligence/personality tests you can find online if you just search up free personality test/emotional intelligence test you should find some.
Hi medchic! Would it be possible for you to pm me as well regarding this? I would really appreciate some tips :)) so sorry since you're probably getting a quite few messages currently 😅

I should get a GPA of around 6.45-6.5 after graduating this year would that be enough for 2024 entry?
It will be enough for a psychometric test invite assuming this is still Bond’s procedure for 2024 entry (no word that it’s changing, but I guess you never know!).

To anyone who has previously sat the bonds test, does it also say that 'No - you have not met the requirements to be selected to sit the test' under the qtac requirements. Does this mean I will not be getting an email ?

Heyy I'm a candidate this year and my qtac requirements say something different. They have "selected to sit test" under the requirements.
