Year 12 2023: Bond Uni Applications Open in JAN 2024 for May 2024 entry and by then you might have selected your preferences for other Med Unis via QTAC, are we required to move Bond Uni to 1st Preference then to bump up chances for an interview?

Nope. There is an interview as the final step that plays the key role.
Historically, it has been GPA/ATAR determines psychometric test invite —> psychometric test score determines interview invite —> interview score determines offer.
I’m not sure if that’s still their metric but the interview definitely plays a large role.
Ok, as in they don’t consider anything else apart from the interview in their calculations?
Yes definitely a great chance!- just make sure Bond is the top QTAC preference when it is time to apply

Hello, I'm wanting to apply for Bond med as a non-school leaver for 2024 intake. I have only completed 1 year of undergrad study and so 50/50 of my atar and GPA will be taken into consideration. I have an Atar of 97.05 and am expecting a GPA of 6.125 do I have a solid chance of getting a psychometric test invite?
Just incase my results aren't as expected, would I still get a psychometric test invite with a 6 GPA?

So I think for this one definitely talk to the people providing your scholarship, I’m not totally aware of whats involved in this because I’ve not done any research into it.
But, just from asking a friend in med they said it is possible.
They said the scholarship also pay you a wage while you study and that wage varies depending on what year of study you are in. Not sure how much it is (maybe starts at 40-45000 annual that increases with each year of study). And in return they ask for quite a lengthy return of service obligation from you.
They pay up to the amount of your HECS - not totally sure how much of your study they would pay.

Hello, thanks for your insightful details on the ADF scholarship. Do you happen to have the contact of someone who is currently at Bond and receiving the scholarship? I am hoping to clarify how long the return of service obligation would be. I am not sure whether it is equal to the degree duration and one year or 2x the degree duration and one year. Thanks again!
I'm pretty much in the same boat as you - my GPA is 6.583.
If it helps, I had a GPA of 6.625 (Calculated by QTAC) and was offered a psychometric test earlier this year (feb). A friend of mine who was also offered a psychometric test this application cycle had a GPA of 6.49.
How do you find out what is calculated by Qtac?
After you submit your application in January, you can call QTAC and they can give you a selection rank which is essentially like a GPA to ATAR equivalent rankings.
