I’m assuming your current undergrad is at a different Uni?
 
Asking for a friend here. He is currently doing a physio degree at USyd. What GPA will he require to get a fair chance at an offer?

just adding that I have heard that it is much harder for non-standards, is that true?

I think you may be underestimating the workload for med school, all Bond uni lectures are compulsory so I'm not sure how you will manage this. I guess you can. Maybe see what your GAMSAT is before making a decision

Heyyy, I successfully got a place this year as a post grad applicant. To give you an idea my GPA was a 6.8. Not many post-grads get offers for psych and interview so my advice for your friend would be to just work as hard as possible to stay at the top of the candidate pool. Best of luck!

Hey guys, I'm a current year 12 student from WA, I didn't do amazing in ucat and as such I was looking to Bond as another place I could do med. Does anyone have a clue as to what would be a competitive ATAR to apply to bond?

It's 96ish ATAR to get an invite to do the psychometric test. It then depends on this test's result to get an interview and on the interview for a place offer.
 
After receiving an invitation for a psychometric test, is advancement to the interview stage solely based on the psychometric test results or are ATAR scores also taken into consideration?
 
Hey guys, im quite confused on how the intakes work. Im a current first year uni student and I'm aware that Bond will only consider my GPA after 1.5FTE. If i was to continue my tertiary studies will I have to complete a full 2 years before applying or will I pass the 1.5FTE before a certain intake date for the 2024 entry. I'm not sure if that makes sense ahah but please let me know.

Also if i was to transfer into a different course at the end of the year how ill Bond calculate my GPA?
 
In the scenario where I receive a September admission offer from Bond University, would I still be eligible to retake the UCAT in July of that year? And if I were achieve a strong result in the UCAT retake, would it then be possible for me to decline the offer from Bond University and apply to other medical and dental universities across Australia? Thanks.

Yes to all of this. The only thing is you wouldn’t yet know if you had a new offer before you had to decline the Bond one so it would be taking a bit of a risk. I believe Bond don’t allow deferrals.
 
Hello all,
My gpa is 3.5/4 ( I think this translates to 6.5/7? ) would this gpa be enough to be offered a psychometric test for Bond graduate entry? I'm very worried it might be too low.

In previous years GPA 6ish (6.1-6.2) have got psych test invites.

If there's no Fail = 0 in your GPA then yes, 3.5/4 = 6.5/7.
 
Hi all,

I received a psychometrics invite this last Feb but didn’t progress to the interviews. Is it worth waiting/thinking I might get interview for the next application season based on last psychometrics? Has anyone had any experience around this? I’m doubtful that whatever my scores were would be enough for 2024 intake if it wasn’t this year and I might have to wait until 2025 to take it again.

I'm in the same boat, but scraped an interview offer the day before they started. Didn't manage to get an offer so considering whether it's worth it to apply again this year too.

So you got a late interview invite last round? I would apply again if you scored an interview regardless of when that invite came in.
