CSU CSU Dentistry: Q&A and General Discussion

I’m literally so confused. I’ve sent them an email. Not sure what good it’ll do me but they have to be held accountable
Are you a NSW applicant ? Either CSU is still resending offers but if you have already been sent a rejection this doesn't make sense , has some sought of state based quota or a formula which changes scores.

The 86th percentile reported today was from QLD and I’m also from QLD.

A formula wouldn’t make sense either as I scored higher in all subsections (including SJT)

That is very strange, I don't think they'd preference HSL over non-standards and I think some HSL haven't received offers yet either so hopefully CSU can provide an answer.

Ok so someone reported today they got an interview offer with 86 percentile and no rural or bonuses.
I had mine retracted with 92nd percentile.
They have apparently contacted CSU and they confirmed it was correct that they got an offer.
soooooo confused!!! 😪😪😪
So I just called admissions, they hadn't replied to my email from the previous week seeking clarification, so the lady said she would escalate the priority. She also took down a suggestion of mine for the applicants whose interviews were withdrawn to have special considerations (or some review of their application). It's a long shot, but no harm in asking - I'll keep y'all updated.

Tried to get in contact with CSU no luck. I didn't receive an interview with 2680 rural interstate. But people with lower from interstate did. Not sure whats going on and what I should do.

is there actually anything we can do? I feel like they need to be held accountable

I really dont know, admin staff obvs dont know much but they said they were not able to give me another contact number for the dental faculty.
For some dental schools, there is a selection/admissions officer who is responsible for ranking dent applicants, it would be useful if you guys could find out who that person is and get in touch with him/her.

I personally feel like speaking to people in person is better than talking to them on the phone. When you talk to someone from the admissions team in person, you can see if they're making calls, filling out forms and checking your application status. You can also sometimes hear what they say when they call other people in the uni about the incident.

Unfortunately I’m in QLD and so no chance of going in person :(

That is very unfortunate. I think it would be better if undergraduate med and dent have something like GEMSAS that centralise and standardise the admissions process. Does anyone know why undergraduate med and dent schools don't use this system?
