For WSU and Newcastle if you haven't received interviews and are quite far below cut-offs you can remove them if you like and replace them other preferences.
I got 2930 is that considered quite far off? If not when do y’all reckon is safe to take them off??

Oh wow really? With that formula my total is 736. I am a GWS applicant, but didn't receive any interview offers yet :(
Is there a chance your GWS eligibility wasn’t accepted? I’m not sure about the processes regarding that. If it was and your SJT was over 500 maybe hit up WSU admissions?

Yeah, I am very much in the GWS area.... So I was expecting to receive an interview with my scaled score. My SJT was also 640. What is the best way to contact them?

I would probably contact both the SoM and the Admissions department via email tonight or over the weekend with evidence of your UCAT score, following that I would make sure I called them as soon as business opens on Monday the earlier you get onto this the better as they should be able to slip you into one of their top-up positions (that’s if we have the correct criteria for their invites on our end 🙃)

Have a read of this post > JPM - WSU/CSU JPM: UCAT Section Weighting Discussion and Questions

By the old formula your 715.6 was below the known lowest 721, but the old formula doesn't explain why a 729 didn't get an invite.
By the new formula (to explain the 729) it then doesn't explain your case. Only WSU knows the answer unfortunately.

My interview host is UNE, even though UON was my preferred interview location. Im a tertiary student in NSW and I'm applying through rural. Is that suppose to mean mu UCAT score was lower than the other applicants who preferred UON?

In the exact same position except non-rural. My UCAT score was 3210 (98th percentile), which I would definitely say most likely wouldn't have been the reason for having UNE as my host university.

Assume a student does about average in all of their interviews, and their prereq GPA/ATAR + UCAT is also average for all those who have gotten an interview.

If they receive about 7 interviews (or maybe even more, say Monash, UQ, JCU, UNSW, JMP, WSU/CSU and UAdel), wouldn't they more or less be guaranteed an offer at least in 1 of those places?

My thinking behind this is that, most uni's have ≈ 1/4 success rate so in being smack average it should be somewhat of a guarantee, alongside the fact that 'most' of the people who get an interview belong to a very similar group. Its not like the people getting a UNSW interview will be drastically different from those getting JMP or WSU ones for example, sure there are outliers who would 'add' to this common pool, but it should be relatively consistent. Hope that makes sense, but please someone correct me on this thinking if I'm wrong.

Thanks! :)
