Griffith Griffith Dentistry: Admissions General Discussion

I thought it was 15th?? God I hope UAC has my details in correctly!
UACs offer round is the 10th and qtacs is the 15th so offers for uac applications will be released tomorrow, while qtac on the 15th it won't matter whether you have it on one or both or which one you get it from it will be fine.

Hi,
If students enter the Bachelor of Dental Health Science at Griffith, are they guaranteed a place in the Master of Dentistry degree? (Given that they passed all their subjects). Or do they have to take any additional interviews, tests or GAMSAT to gain a place in the Master of Dentistry degree?

Thanks.

Yes, provided you pass the bachelor component.

Hi everyone
If you’ve received and offer for Dental Health Science or Dental Hygiene At Griffith for 2020 feel free to join our Facebook group —> http://www.facebook.com/groups/1023942607970236/?ref=share

anyone know what the cutoff was this year? any 6.75 receiving offers?
There has been a 6.875 reported on here, but no 6.75s as of yet. Just hold out till QTAC tho and then we might see some more. Also, top up offers are a likely occurence so a 6.75 may scrape in.

If you don’t mind me asking, what GPA are you applying for Griffith dent with?

Reckon you'll take it? Would be kinda surreal to meet you irl through the course, after conversing with you here for the last few months
hoping for UQ dent or Uadel dent or UNSW med above it (purely due to the cost of the masters being so large, nothing to do with the degree itself), but possibly. And yeah it would be pretty surreal

I guess your first pref is UQ Dent and I think you have a good chance to get it. However, if UQ Dent has a higher UCAT cutoff like last year's UMAT, but you get the offers of UAdel Dent and UNSW Med BMP, what will you choose? Presuming your home state is QLD.

Uadel Dent then UNSW BMP

are the last two years masters fees (approx.120K) available on HECS for the BDHsc/Master Dentistry? And is entrance to masters automatic (i.e. no further requirements other than obviously passing the units)

Not available through HECS, but through FEE-HELP (you can loan up to 150k through FEE-HELP as a dent student). The same indexation of the debt occurs as it does with HECS. Yep, entry is automatic. :)

Does anyone know the fee for Master of dentistry for the past few years? Currently, it's $61500 per year, just trying to figure out what it'll cost in 2023.

It was a little under $60,000 1-2 years ago, you can allow +3% a year to be on the safe side.

Hi guys, I applied for Griffith dentistry through QTAC. If my application is unsuccessful, how will I be informed? Will I get an rejection email on 15/01? Is it going to appear somewhere on QTAC's website? Thanks.
