That is possible but it's very difficult to predict grade cut-offs and also using a single school as an example is a bit of a stretch , Griffith's cut-off would have easily been 99.95-99.90 if enough of these applicants applied but clearly they don't and Griffith Dent over offered in the end which I feel Griffith Med might do

Deadline to cancel will be census date (though we encourage cancellation well before then so the offer can go to the next on the list in a timely manner).

Guys griffith med ATAR cutoff was 99.85, just saw from an asian news source. So yeah if you got 99.75-99.80 (the lowest selection rank on their website) you wouldn't have gotten an offer unfortunately. This year I guess it was more competitive and IB kids/ high-scoring atar kids who wanted to do med inflated the standards.
