Griffith Griffith Medicine: Medical Science/MD Provisional Entry Q&A

Hi guys. When you enroll in the provisional entry for Griffith MD after doing the Bachelor of Medical Science at USC, the only two requirements to progress into MD are maintaining a 5.0 GPA and Communication Skills in Medicine, right?

Guys griffith med ATAR cutoff was 99.85, just saw from an asian news source. So yeah if you got 99.75-99.80 (the lowest selection rank on their website) you wouldn't have gotten an offer unfortunately. This year I guess it was more competitive and IB kids/ high-scoring atar kids who wanted to do med inflated the standards.

Best luck to other med uni offers everyone!
I know there is one that got an offer with 99.80. I think they perhaps compared down to raw score.

Correct

Hi, does anyone know whether griffith has saved spots for nsw students? I recieved an atar of 99.90, but I only applied to the griffith gold coast campus. Does the required atar for each campus usually differ?
Thanks :)

We would expect so but I'm not sure if that was ever 100% confirmed. And yes, the required ATAR can vary between campuses, though this year appears to have been ~99.85 across the board at this stage (though may drop if/when NSW offers go out). 99.90 should be fine assuming places have been saved (though I note you have interviews elsewhere and this probably isn't your top preference - though it's always nice to have a non-interview dependent uni in play). Good luck.

Thank you! Knowing this will help me to breathe going into other interviews, I guess.

Hey everyone! I'm coming up to Griffith Gold Coast from interstate soon to study medicine. I don't really know anyone and was wondering if a group chat or page has been started where I could get more info about the start to trimester. Thanks heaps!!

Congratulations! I haven’t seen any group chats formed through MSO this year but usually the uni will create a Foundation Year Health Facebook page. Otherwise, you should be able to meet others at orientation.

If you have specific queries, let me know and I should be able to answer them.

Hey, have you got your offer from Griffith? I am also from NSW and got an atar of 99.90 but I've waited for 2 offer rounds (28th Jan and 1st Feb) and still didn't receive anything from Griffith yet. With that being said, on the 28th Jan round I did receive an offer from USC.

I am going to USC. If you take USC let me know.

I will probably wait for another round although I have already enrolled into USC to secure my spot. I still want to go to Griffith since it is a shorter degree at a much nicer campus.
I am in the same boat. Still waiting for a higher offer but had accepted USC.
