Totally agree! Im in 3rd year too but extended my degree to 4 years so I can fit in more 200 + 300 level papers 😬 All the best!
Disclaimer: Not a grad entrant, not sure how these work, but I just noticed something...

When you say extended your degree to 4 years, are you doing an Honours year?

There's a clause in the requirements for the Graduate category that says completed the requirements of a first degree "normally in the minimum academic time" - and that just makes me question whether you are still eligible if you do a 4-year degree with 200 & 300 level papers only. i.e. whether you'll need to do an Honours year with 400-level papers to be still eliglble. I don't want to cause alarm, but if your 4th year is not a 400-level Honours year I would urge you to check with the Health Sciences Admissions Office on whether this would still be accepted for graduate entry, just in case.

Also if you are in 3rd year right now, and are applying this year (2019), you will be scored under the old system (points-weighted GPA for each year, then weighted by year - with the exception that 100-level papers in 3rd year will not count.)

Hi Cathay, thanks for letting me know incase! My health sci grades were AWFUL so if I applied this year I would have no chance. As I changed my degree to a double degree last year, the minimum amount of time for this degree is 4 years so they said that in circumstances like these they will count a 4 year degree. Im hoping that I will have a bit more of a chance with the new system!

Perfect. Sounds like you're onto it! All the best!

Hey. Do results for Sem One come out sporadically leading up to or all at once on July 1st? Also do they round them? I never see people mention results past 2SF Eg. 97% not 96.6% etc. Thanks :)

Changes every year. Reckon ~2 weeks after your final exam is a good shout and yeah they round them. So if you get 96.6 that'll be 97% on evision and if you get 96.4% that's a 96% on evision etc

Woo I feel nervous for you guys haha. I remember being on high alert and checking evision 5 times a day 😂
5 times a day is quite relaxed compared to us back in 2011! We checked PIMS (it was PIMS back then) 5 times an hour!

(Or was it 5 times a minute?)

I found this little gem below in the HSFY Archives from 2011
>.> We wouldn't be checking PIMS every 15 minutes if we knew.
*Seconds
Ahhh good times. Wonder what froot is up to these days (other than House Officering).

Hey!

Just out of interest, what does the "unconfirmed" mean next to the grades? How often do these unconfirmed grades actually change at all?

Thanks!

My personal theory is that they load the results first (at which point you can view it as an unconfirmed result), then go through a verification process to make sure everything went through correctly etc. But Stuart seemed like a knowledgeable guy about how it all works.

I haven't personally had any results change, and I don't think I've heard of anyone in my year (back in 2011 when dinosaurs were running around) whose result changed between the unconfirmed stage and the confirmed stage. But of course "unconfirmed" means a change is possible.

Further to rusty's post, lemme just reassure everyone that this is a safe space - MSO has been a place for the anonymous sharing of HSFY results (on top of seeking advice both from fellow HSFYers and from past HSFYers) since something like 2008, so results high or low are welcome here without judgement.

To those willing to share their results, thank you in advance for continuing the MSO HSFY legacy.

99 CHEM
99 PHSI
98 CELS

Not too confident on HUBS after some of those MCQs tho
Looks like you're headed for a higher first semester average than mine! Great work!
I dug out my old results (from 2011) and it was CELS 97 CHEM 94 HUBS 93 PHSI 100 - so you only need an 88 in HUBS to match my first semester average. Good stuff!
