International Students: General Medicine Entry

Hi, I have a question!

Is it possible to get an offer even after receiving a rejection email when someone declined the offer?
I think I heard that this has happened before, so I just wanted to ask, in case it happens later. :( (mine didn't even require an interview...)

If you've gotten a rejection, for most situations, no. It is extremely rare where anything like this would turn around completely.

Is the ISAT similar to the HPAT or UCAT, and how should I prepare for it?

Hi everyone, I’m planning to take the ISAT this year for Med in 2026 and was wondering how it compares to other tests like the HPAT or UCAT in terms of structure and difficulty. Are there any similarities in the skills or content tested?

I’ve noticed that preparation resources for the ISAT seem more limited compared to the UCAT. So far, I’ve only heard about using the official practice questions, GAMSAT Section 1, and BMAT problem-solving exercises for revision. Does anyone have advice on how best to prepare for the ISAT or know of any additional resources that might be helpful?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, i wrote ISAT test window 1 and got 164, 161 and 166. My AS level results were 4As and predicted results for A2 are 4A*. Do you think I can receive an interview offer from UNSW, Monash, UWA or UWA ?

Generally speaking AS levels are not considered. Your A2 levels will be used. 4 A* results for your A2/A levels are amazing. Please go to the marked π section below regarding ISAT results.

π International admissions requirements can be quite volatile so your mileage may vary depending on what year you might be applying for.

Completely irrelevant here but I used to work for USYD so this is me chipping in if you ever wanted to come here. If you are a school leaver applying for 2026 entry, your 4 A* results in A2 subjects will convert well. You will likely receive an invite to the assessment day as an international student.

i applied for 2026 intake and have submitted my application form last week. so if i get my predicted results for A2, i still have a chance for an interview right ?

Please read exactly what I said. I did not imply anything except for a likelihood of receiving an invite to an assessment day for USYDs double degree medicine program (should you do receive 4 A* results on your A2 subjects/A levels AND submit your application on time)

Hello,
I have a question about international admission. I took the 2025 test cycle 1 ISAT and scored 184(96th%) CR and 181(77th%) QR with overall of 182(90th%). I scored an atar of 93.75. How likely do you think it is for me to get an offer at schools such as WSU and Monash? Should I apply other places as well? Im new to MSO and I'm sorry if I'm not meant to ask these questions here.
Thanks.

The minimum isat requirement for unsw is 165, so i don't think you will make the cut, unfortunately. It is the same with Monash, as their minimum isat is 170 and generally, and from what I know to get an interview in the 2025 cycle, the cut off is 174. You might have chance with uwa tho as they only require 25% percentile in both section

Monash might be difficult since their atar standard is pretty high, but you might have a chance with wsu as their min atar is like 93.5 and they aren't that focus on that , your isat is really good so it might make up for the atar.
