Ahh bugger! Mine is on 22nd november. I am gonna have to start annoying my colleagues for tips now. One of my colleagues did his med from JMP, I ll b annoyinh him a bit! How r u going to prepare for yours?
I'm not 100% sure what I am going to do for prep. I go into things like interviews with huge amounts of confidence (even if it's fake) and it's always worked out well in the past. I'll probably make a list of a couple of points to hit on, but really, I think the interviewers will be looking for genuine candidates, so over rehearsing and prepping probably will hurt more than help :) I believe the interviewers will be looking at someone who is cool calm and collected (something I definitely need to work on) so I'll probably make my siblings pretend to be interviewers and ask questions so I can practice not getting flustered. But other than that, not sure... Yoga classes maybe? XD

Meditation will definitely help. I usually just walkin to an interview like a normal thing and has been successful..Recently did 2 phases of interview for a position of clinical co ordinator, i reckon the experience from that interrview might come handy during the med school interview. I hope i do not get nervous, coz med school intervieenis something very very serious for me. Lol

UoN interview offer today

2015 ATAR: 99.90
2016 UMAT: 93 percentile with 60/68/57
1st semester WAM 2016: 84.25
Non-standard
Non-rural

What are my chances of a WSU interview offer? Should I be worried that I haven't got one yet? :/

I'm sure you'll be great, self-confidence is key, if you know you're made for med and have compassion as well as smarts, that will shine through and convince others! I hope we will be peers next year!

Fingers crossed, and i am sure u ll nail it as well and be great to have a mate from the coast

So excited!!! I'm pretty sure I'm 'mature age' even though I'm 20, but it'll be fun to keep all of us oldies together XD
I am positive that i am "mature age" coz m 27. Lol. Having a masters and approx 5 yrs of clinical experience might help a too, and i hope i dont stuff it up. We can catch up for some sort of prep if u r keen tho. That might help as well.

oh my god! you're more than ready! sure thing! Im super busy over the next few weeks with school but I can work prep in :)

Got an interview for JMP at Newcastle (received the email Wednesday 26/10 at 4:38pm)

UMAT: 204, 61/81/62, 99th%ile
Non-standard, non-rural.

I haven't yet received an interview offer for any unis yet. Considering a not-so-great S1 score of 58, I don't think I would be getting an interview offer. Are these the early round offers? Will there be another round of interview offers after Year 12 results have been released?

The cutoffs for a second round of interviews at JMP are likely to remain the same (i.e. they would be for applicants from far states who also get >60 in S1).

Does anyone want to meet up and practice MMIs in Sydney or on Skype? Maybe we can form a group.
