Hi Breadman. I think it is 750. I am not sure how many of those are rural but it works out to be about 1:4 chance for standard and 1:5 chance for rural (this reducing based on the fact there are rural students who duplicate / decline offers at UNSW and WSU so works out to be about 1:3/1:4)

hey! sorry for being a bit late but I'm in the exact same boat! I applied when accomodation applications opened in october, and paid the $100 fee, received my offer for a single studio, and declined and waitlisted it. They have offered me the same room, same tower (East) about four times since, and every time I decline and waitlist, since I still don't know if I will be going there or not. So if I were you, I wouldn't be too stressed about missing out or in a huge hurry to pay the fee (if you haven't already) until after you receive the offer and are sure you are going since it seems like they have a quite some rooms available still. The only risk would be that a lot of other people might also be doing the same thing as me, or are waiting like you, so once you do decide to go there, make sure you apply asap, and put your first preference as something that would probably still be available ie single studios, dual rooms, share (i doubt that any one-bedrooms are left since that was my first preference, and I applied almost immediately and still didn't get it) :))

Oh, I didn't know you had to apply for accommodation back in October. I was under the assumption that you can wait until you have received an offer ... could that potentially disadvantage me from being able to secure accommodation?

Applications opened in october but fortunately there is no closing date! They usually send out accom offers until their residences are full, and then if you don't receive an offer, they will put you on a waitlist. I'd say the newer applications wouldn't be so far down the list compared to other people that are waiting, as like I said before, they seem to have rooms available. They do say that they prioritise Indigenous students, SRS applicants, and regional/remote applicants first, but I know someone who applied early feb last year, wasn't apart of the priority criteria and still secured a single studio in the towers without being waitlisted!

thanks!!! I ended up applying anyway and got waitlisted lolllll! also, does anyone know when the JMP offers from the interviews on the 20/21st of Jan will be out? feburary 3rd I’m assuming right?
 
I’m now able to log into the UON offer website with my UAC number and password- does that mean something at all? Or can everyone access it haha
 
I am a bit confused with what you mean. How can you log into UON website with your UAC details? I would have thought you would need a student number?
I haven't attempted but could try if you tell me how?
