For my Adelaide Dentistry interview I did on Saturday, they had my first name and my SATAC ID. It probably won't be the same for every university and may be different for med vs dent, though.

Yeah, my Adelaide Med one was like that too. But they changed it to add my SATAC ID for me, so it probably doesn't matter if you enter the zoom with just your name.
 
I know this is quite early to be thinking about, but does JMP allow students to defer their offers (or are they strict with deferrals)? And if so, how long can you defer for? Thanks in advance

You can definitely defer. I remember a few students decided to defer in my year. As to the maximum length you can defer for, pretty sure it is a case-by-case basis. You’ll need a submit an application.
 
Hi! The MSA for interstate applicants is set to be January 20th-21st (supposed to be after main round offers for other states), but I've heard Adelaide uni isn't releasing most of their med offers until the January 14th or 24th offer rounds. Does anyone know what date we need to confirm our MSA by? (the email says "from January 11") Just wondering whether Adelaide med offers will be out before the MSA confirmation is required or not. Thanks very much! (sorry not sure whether to post this under JMP or Adelaide)

In the worst case just confirm MSA attendance as it is all online and if you receive an offer before the date let JMP know ASAP via email. At the end of the day no-one will be mad/annoyed because interstaters are always going to take home offers over interstate offers.

Adelaide medicine offers have been delayed to 24th of Jan, so you will need to sit the JMP interview.

Hey guys! just a quick question.
So I emailed UNE student accomodation about when we have to submit an application form if we're applying to
JMP, when (for me at least), my interview is not until next week, and they replied and said that I had to apply for student accomodation as soon as possible, regardless of if I have an offer or not. Is this what the other interstate applicants are doing on here? Because I just find it a bit silly, since you have to pay a $100 non refundable application fee, which is in my opinion quite a fair amount. What are your guys' thoughts? should I just pay the fee and apply?

that's what i heard too! they also said that most first years (january round) don't live on campus because of this reason! and that they live usually in apartments nearby. it rly depends if you're willing to commute to uni from these apartments (which is what i plan to do! the town isn't that big anyways so it should be closeby). just bc my chances of getting in are not that high atm and rather not have 2 losses hhehehe

thanks!! yeah literally me weighing up my options and trying to see how likely I am to get in and whether its worth paying the money lol. I'm just scared cos it'll be my first time moving out of my house and I feel like I'm trying to mitigate as much stress as possible hahahahaha

I didn’t 😂 but my home state is Tassie.

Good luck to those interviewing! (I can’t believe they’re doing it so late?) They’ve certainly changed the process since I started. I know the Indigenous students got offers today so if any of those are reading - CONGRATULATIONS!!
 
Did JMP mention to anyone (through the med faculty organizer), how many people they interviewed and what the interview-to-offer ratio would be for non-rural and rural students? I think someone mentioned 650 as a number (through emailing JMP), but I wanted to double check this if anyone else knew.
