No early round offer :(
GPA 6.625
UCAT: 3,000 (92nd percentile)
No offer here either, received an Aspire Conditional Offer back in Sept too :(

GPA: 6.63
UCAT: 80th
RA2 - Regional Entry applicant

Last I spoke to LaTrobe about it they sounded pretty confident I met the conditions of my Aspire Offer but they said "If they participate in Nov round" which makes me think possibly they haven't this year?

Oh wow I’m so sorry that you didn’t get an offer
:’(
I’m really trying to pick myself up and brush myself off so I can clear my mind for all my interviews.
fingers crossed for all of us for January!!!

I feel ya, I think I might take a day off interview prep today lol. Oh well on to January!

Wishing you good luck in your interviews :)

I did call and ask Latrobe about this - the early round offers are for VERY competitive applicants so if you don't get a early round offer, it doesn't mean you won't get it in January. The hand out majority of their offers for BOTH non-standard and school leavers in January. Maybe this brings some hope!

Looks like there was only 1 offer reported and that was a rural applicant. I would be very very interested to know how many places they had for the early round and what the cut off was. I imagine they would want to hold majority of places until they see the whole pool of applicants they have to choose from.

There were only two reported here last year in that early round from memory. We really don’t get much LaTrobe insight, unfortunately. Do you know what the cohort size is?

From what the student profile says the total number of places is 56: https://www.latrobe.edu.au/__data/a...achelor-of-dental-science-honours-bendigo.pdf

Interestingly though, 14 of those applicants applicants aren't accounted for. I know there was a handful of higher-education applicants that posted about their offers on MSO but the document has not published data about them.

This article mentioned that there are 54 students and more than half of them came from a rural background. Someone on the forum also said there were around 4 Canadian international students, I would expect Latrobe to admit more international students this year because the border is opening up. Most Latrobe spots go to school leavers and they also allocate some places for internal transfers, so they probably only have a few places for non-standards.

Hey, I just wanted to confirm that there are 4 Canadians in the class, and I’m fortunate to be one of them!

Good luck to everyone!!

i got an aspire conditional offer in October (school leaver) as a metro applicant, ended up with a 98.6 atar and satisfied the prereqs (got A's in chem and Bio and passed English, although i do QCE and not VCE). Does this mean i will get an offer through VTAC on jan 14?

It's hard to tell. Didn't a non-standard get a conditional offer in September but did not get an offer in the November round?
But your atar is very close the cut-offs in previous years, I think you'll have a fairly good chance chance of getting an offer on Jan 14.

I’m extremely confused. On the Latrobe website it says the aspire cutoff is 94, that means if you receive a conditional offer and clear the ATAR cutoff + satisfy the prereqs you should get in right (on Jan 14).

Yea that’s right, I think the person before who didn’t get an offer in Nov will still get one in Jan if they cleared the atar hurdle/gpa hurdle, it’s just aspire don’t give out offers until Jan.
