What is the cutoff wam for this year?
Im not too sure, but i spoke to a staff member and they told me anything above an 80 WAM is decent enough (Please correct me if I'm wrong). My WAM is ~81 so I'm not too sure if this is competitive enough (unsure on any other requirements they have as UCAT is no longer taken into consideration at la trobe)

wow, two years ago, the minimum cut-off was above 90, that's a dramatic drop.

did anyone who successfully transferred internally into dent write a personal statement? I’m not too sure if it’s completely necessary but just want to double check.

I didn’t transfer internally, but I applied and got an early offer and didn’t write a personal statement. So I don’t think it’s necessary

Do you know what is the cutoff for this year internal transfer?

Hello, I have received and accepted my dent offer at La Trobe, but they have not sent me any information about my student email/password and how to enroll. Is anyone in the same boat? I'm an international student.

I'm not sure because for me the only way to accept my offer was to enrol in a subject.

Unluckydude since you are a latrobe dent student, just wondering if you had any clue whether or not they looked at personal statement for internal applicants at all. Thanks

When Latrobe dent was first established, personal statement was a requirement for all applicants. Then it became a requirement only for non-standards including those who tried to transfer internally. A few years ago, they completely removed personal statement from the selection process, so they did not look at personal statements in the last few admission cycles. However, a MSO member contacted Latrobe and was informed that they may once again start to assess personal statements this year. I don’t know how reliable the information is because it is not mentioned on Latrobe’s dent website, but that member has kindly agreed to share the outcome of his/her application and hopefully it will provide some useful insight for future applicants.

Hey again, I got a quick question in regards to accomodation at Latrobe. Is it wise to apply for uni accomodations early or is it better to wait until offers come out?

It's not that hard to secure an accommodation, so personally I would apply for accommodations after the offers are released.

Oh fair enough. I forgot to add something but which type of accomodation do you recommend (in terms of proximity to the uni and being able to socialise)? I’m deciding whether to choose villa, units or terraces as they are the most budget friendly options. Cheers for the previous replies :)

The most budget friendly options are off-campus accommodations if you can drive. I initially thought on-campus accommodations would be cleaner, safer and better managed which turned out be a false assumption.

Are you talking from experience with La Trobe's on-campus accomodation or?

Why does the VTAC code provided on La Trobe's page say First Nations Australian Entry? (2100213601) Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours)

It says 'This course is only available to applicants who are First Nations Australian.'

Is this a change for 2024 entry? Because the vtac code on my vtac application is 2100211491 for ‘Dental Science (Honours) (F/T) (La Trobe University, Bendigo) (CSP Bachelor Degree)’ VTAC: Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre

Yes, but it is also true in general.

It was added to the VTAC website 2-3 months ago. I would advise you to contact VTAC directly to see if you're eligible for this pathway this year.

Some RA2 have gotten offers and they aren’t First Nation Australians unless I’m mistaken.
