I could go to the 1 oclock one and watch an episode of house or something on my laptop but I dunno lol. Seems kinda mean.

Might turn up to the 1pm one might not. Alternatively I could just type in very large font in word...distracting messages. Or like type everything the lecturer says like dictation.

hahaha good ideas. Yeah I just checked pims and I can make it at 1.

edit: will be walking from the red lecture theatre. mabey u will be around there?

(yy)(y)

I wish I was there to see that :lols:

LOL I'm actually keen on going to a monday health sci lecture too and sit in the front with my laptop playing games for the 500 people to see. Or watch a movie haha

Yea sit in front row and frag it out on some FPS like counterstrike and get carried away with heavy breathing and obnoxious button mashing haha :lols:
...would love to see their reactions

Lol, I think I can actually do that I have a decent typing speed. Has anyone ever taken notes like that before here for HSFY?

Also; What percentage do we need to pass the english test (Screwed that up unfortunetly)

Hi kojiko, welcome to MSO! There's no need to write down everything lecturer says. Sometimes lecturers will say something that is additional to the slide, like when explaining a bullet point on their slide, and that's when I'd just note down what the lecturer said.

Don't know what percentage you need for the english test but I really wouldn't worry about it.

Welcome. I think there isn't really a percentage that you need, I think you just need to look like you know what you are doing when it comes to writing in the English language. Well at least that's what I thought it was.

LOL the typewriter vid is amazing...I also like this:

And yea I think I did poorly on the english language test in HSFY because I was sitting directly under a loudspeaker and couldn't hear much of what the lady was saying but I didn't have to do that extra paper/course...pretty sure it's what I'mOnABoat said...no real cut-off but they just make sure you are competent

Cheers I'mOnABoat and skyglow :)
Just didnt feel the test went to well (time management), but ill just wait and see!

I got 8am physics tomorrow too!
Its intro though right? I thought I heard the lecturer for physics say that in prelims.

Do we have a test for the first lab of HUBS? because my lab is before my HUBS lecture lol. I have an old HUBS lab book, can I do tomorows work today >_>?

It's just a introduction lecture.. There are pre-readings list up for each lecture on blackboard so you could start on those.. mechanics looks like a piece of piss so far...

We do have a BET after our first HUBS lab, could a second year please enlighten us on what that examines?

Your HUBS exit tests are very easy. Just make sure you pay attention to what's in your lab book, what happened during the lab, and especially make sure you listen to what the demonstrater says (esp. at the final lab sum up),as he/she usually gives clues on what's in the exit test.

Hey are the lab books the same everyear? because I have nothing to do might as well do tomorrows work :P
Anyone have any idea's on this.
