this is probably a dumb question but what does BET stand for, I'm a bit overwhelmed with heaps of acronyms. Is that type of test on blackboard or is that GLM. So confused...

Thanks haha, I knew that was what we had to do, but was getting the 2 different acronyms merged into one. I'm not really sure if this makes sense..nvm

HUBS and CHEM have lab exit tests which you do in the lab at the end

Funny how once we're second years we refer to first years as 'little'. I catch myself doing that alot haha, yet I'm guessing I'm like only 6 months older than most of them

First health sci lectures this morning... collective response = unmoved. Considering they weren't real lectures even the major over thinkers weren't too unnerving... only a couple of "look at me" questions.

Oh and SASOL, what have you done!? It twas drilled into us to ignore whatever another student says to us regarding anything related to the paper (for example telling someone the exam had changed) and to direct any questions only toward the teaching staff...

Lol happens every year. I guess the students are experienced, but yeah for most stuff listen to the teachers. I wont lie to you, I just just like to increase the edge of health sci lol. Possibly because I cant believe I went through it, and now cant understand why anyone would want to do it lol

Hey, does material we do in LABS get assessed or is it only what is in lecture slides?

Also in our HUBS lecture today most was introduction stuff but then it had slides on levels of classification of the human body and tissue types are these important?

Lab material will be assessed in GLMS and tests, though probably in MCQ form. I may be wrong on this though. The tissue and body stuff will be in the first terms test, but should be fairly simple MCQs.

I think that the stuff that are in the labs can be assessed. The classification of the human body into systems and the various tissue types is important to know if you want to move further into this type of science. I don't think the detail is that important but the general names of them would be handy to know.

What is with Mechanics being so easy? I feel like I should be taking notes, trying to remember it, etc, but then I realise I already remember it.

That's so true. I found it like that when I was there. Try to take some notes just in case you don't remember.

HUBS still uses "check in" and "check out" tests in each lab..

I found some of it interesting... I do enjoy how most lecturers put in amusing anecdotes and likewise to brighten up the lecture, especially the CELS coordinator (the "frog man").

Did you get "why" the string appears in the foreground in physics Saxguy? I saw it straight away (y)

Oh man I wanted to shoot frog man last year, I hated his lectures! lol

It wont be long until you begin to loathe lectures, trust me

Anyone know where I can watch the 'Donated to Science" documentary? Theyve been talking about it here at auckland, quite interested

I recorded it on hdd, but that's back at home. I might be able to get my brother to upload it to a file host, i'll see. Would probably very likely be a breach of copyright however...

I believe you SASOL, it's still novelty introduction lecture week.
