The upside is that if you do well enough in these exams (i.e. get into med), you'll never have to do mid-year exams again... gotta love 100% end-of-year exam assessment.

Average is 14.6/20 (converted into percentages), but they wouldn't say anything about the distributions...

i got 17.7/20 not really happy with that. might make it a bit harder to get A+ overall in cels which is a worry. and i got schol bio and felt good coming out of that exam so im pretty disappointed. :l

Tbh I'm not surprised if there are some really high scores floating around, it was a fairly surface-skimming exam, which would've made it easier to not miss points in the written questions. Personally I know I screwed up an MCQ, so only lost half a mark in the written section. Which I'm fairly happy with

Especially if you do the practice mini-essay which isn't worth any marks in this test.

Exactly. I'd actually prefer it if they took it in and marked it for us (even if it was worth no marks), to give us an indication of where we stand (I find peer marking just doesn't work, people either mark like nazis, or too soft..)
