oh yeah and umat was a big bonus for me, but i still have to work pretty hard, im considering doing it again. i reckon if i get a 89-90% average i would be safe though, so fingers crossed!

Pineapple, I know that there's a lot of pressure in HSFY, but calm down man  putting yourself under so much pressure that you crack isn't going to help, and burning out before the finals isn't advisable either. I'm personally just taking it at a steady pace for the next two weeks or so, then should have enough left in the tank to step it up to insanity levels for the 2 or 3 weeks before and during finals

The reason I share my marks is to give people a little bit of hope - so many people think that you need to get an average of 95%, which is really difficult. Obviously, this would be ideal, but lots of people are capable of getting 88% and while its in the 'potentially unsafe' zone (especially if cutoffs change), it can get you in (I was straight in, non-rural, etc).
In regards to burn out - I did this at the start of the year, and I think I went a bit too far the other way. For example, the week before semester 1 finals, I was in Queenstown, on holiday. The night before the bioc final, I went to a concert. Looking back, I feel slightly nervous that I put myself in a less than ideal situation, but hey, I got in right??

I actually did that to some extent as well SaxGuy, I was working literally 8am till 11pm everyday for the first month and a half, then completely died, and pretty much did nothing for two weeks :S Now I'm just trying to find a balance, where I can get the right amount of work done, and keep my sanity at the same time

always good to have a life outside of health sci! personally i haven't really found time to continue with sport or anything, i only go to the gym occasionally which is bad bad bad.

[OFFTOPIC]I haven't done like any exercise since I've been here. Went for a run the other day and nearly died  [/OFFTOPIC]

Hey guys, just thought I'd de-lurk and say hello - hope everybody's studies are going well and such (hard to believe finals are so close :o )

Damn lurkers... They're everywhere!

[offtopic] Jk, welcome to the 'other' side Padda, and welcome back Bamboozle [/offtopic]

Welcome (back) to the dark side, lol.

For those interested, PIMS personal exam timetables seem to have rooms now. I've never heard of most of mine, lol (the only exception is Castle 2)

Likewise, I've got some treasure-hunting to do to find my exam rooms..

All mine are in the same place which is pretty good. Im going to get to know Smithells Gymnasium really well.
[OFFTOPIC]Enjoy the smell of feet during your exams  or at least I'm guessing so, it is a gymnasium after all.[/OFFTOPIC]

[OFFTOPIC]Castle 4, Quad 2, St. Davids, and the one of the microbiology labs. IOf that list I only know where St. Davids and the microbio lab are lol :tigger: (tigger is only there because I just discovered how to use the extra-fun smileys :yay:[/OFFTOPIC]

You haven't been to Quad 2? I am surprised, lol... I'm streamed into there for chem, although I started jumping streams after about two weeks...

I'm streamed for St Davids for everything except HUBS (Archway 2). So I have no idea where anything is at this uni tbh.... And stream jumping, bad Cathay... :p loljk, I jump whenever I cbf'd with 8am HUBS

lol when you have CELS and PHSI right before, and a lab after, sometimes Quad just gets a bit too far and bothersome...
