Hey guys

As you may notice, I've deleted the above 6 posts. I don't think that there was any intentional breaking of any rules, so I don't hold this against anyone, nor will I be reporting it to any senior members/moderators. However, I felt a little uncomfortable with the above conversation being on a public (widely accessed) forum - in private, sure, I've got no issue with such conversation, but there were too many ramifications with it being publicly available. I hope everyone involved can understand this.

Once again, I'd like to reiterate that I don't want anyone to take this personally, nor do I want to discourage anyone from posting in future.

Cheers
greenglacier (NZ sub-forum moderator)

Everyone ready for the HUBS192 test coming up? I'm looking forward to it, if not just to see how effective my study has been lately. :P

Someone is keen to get started....
All I can say is: that keen-ness will last about 3 days into HSFY, then you'll know what I mean by 'welcome to hell'
ETA: Before the millions of questions begin, I suggest reading the 'HSFY advice from MSO members page' (It was originally named 'Potential HSFY'ers, read me', hint-hint :p )

Hi all, just to add in with what froot posted, we've recently been trying to clean up the threads in the New Zealand entry forum - which has included creating specific threads for specific discussions... So it'd be greatly appreciated if they're used for their intended purposes, rather than new threads being created with discussions that could easily be done under a pre-existing thread.

Otago halls of residence.
School students discussion/enquiries.
Otago/HSFY rumours.
HSFY advice. (as mentioned by froot)

And of course, The rules for posting in the NZ forum.

If you have some legit discussion that should be in this thread re:HSFY'12 then feel free to post, otherwise please make use of the other threads.

Best wishes,
Benjamin.

EDIT: @Kyle B - School students discussion/enquiries.

Oh right...I guess there isn't much to discuss about on this thread since we are all high schoolers atm :/

Well then, how excited is everyone about next year? I'm already looking forward to it lmao

Which is why I sighed when I saw this thread being created - if everyone behaved ideally and posted their stuff where it belongs, this thread should not need to exist until at least the residential college offers come out, at which point people can start introducing themselves and where they're staying, in a HSFY 2012 thread...

Given that I haven't started studying for it yet... no but i should be able to get it done on wednesday (health sci cruisy day ftw)

Yeah, and no HEAL lecture on Wednesday (source: blackboard), so entire day off. Bi-winning :D

Meh, this thread was going to be started eventually, so it's not that big a deal. Let the kiddies have their fun ;)

1) Like I said, that feeling wont last long :p
2) Please, please, please don't spend your entire holidays (or, infact, any of your holidays) working on anything HSFY related. Trust me, you'll get enough HSFY, you really don't want to be starting early.

Lovely to see another thread popping out again =P

It's funny how we all ask the same questions, and we have been there and done that.
Guys search around the forums!
If you read the monster thread from both years,
You shall be a veteran health science before it even started!

Don't worry, everything you need to get 100% is given to us. I don't find that book too useful either, mostly because it's written by students and so is far from infallible...

On the subject of the aptitute book: the HUBS department themselves have told us bits of it are innacurate/plain wrong, and that it may or may not lead you astray.
Jus' saying, I'd rather trust the actual course textbook, than the crappy aptitute one...

Agreed, and the fact that it is spoon feeding you completed notes (hence preventing some people making their own from a variety of sources) is completely against HUBS policy. I mean, that is the very reason they deny us lecture slides before a lecture.
