The easiest way to sort studylink stuff out is to get a mystudylink account like they suggest which allows you to view your application details to see what's going on with your student loan and stuff in real time. Those letters they send you often take a long time to get to you, so by the time they do arrive it's outdated. Basically you use mystudylink to see what you still need to hand in, then you go to the nearest studylink outreach office and it hand it in to them physically (more reliable than sending it in that envelope they provide).

Yeah im getting the max ($155) per week as Selwyn is pretty expensive :S
The reason Im freaking out is that this Otago booklet thing says that course fees are due on the 10th of Feb (A week ago!!) and I realised I had no idea if my student loan had paid it! Ah there is way to stress involved with money!

Shoulda read the back of your invoice for your fees lol. It explains how student loan pays for your fees.

Btw, on 'PIMS' under "Fees Payment" does your "WINZ Loan Contract Finalised" say Yes or No?

Mine says under status: fees unprocessed.. But yeah regarding the payment done by the 10th of Feb, that's only if you're not paying through studylink. I asked the people at the info centre at otago and that's what they told me.

Most of the colleges are about the same price aren't they? $10900~$11000

I got approved for allowance..:D yay

He meant under enrolment status on the left, then step 2: fees payment, which should say your student loan contract has been finalised, and if it has then you're all good.

Crap are you serious?? What've you got there that the rest of us don't have!? Jeez. Was it your first few preferences or did they just put you there..

Luckily I took a suitcase down last time and put it at my mates.. I think mine'll be around 16..17kgs this time.

Oh.. then no.. loan contract not finalised..

Well...Sewlyn is REALLY close to the St Davids lecture theatre where you'll be having most of your lectures. He could wake up like 2 minutes before the lecture starts and still make it on time lol. Sewlynn had 20 people get into medicine lsat year, so they are no slouches in the academics department too :)

Just out of curiosity, how many med admissions did Carrington, Margrets, Unicol, Cumberland and/or Aquinas get?

Only ones I heard of are St Margs: 33, Carrinton: 30, Knox: 15, Aquinas had 3, and dunno about the others.

woah, only 3 from Aquinas eh? Hmm...I wonder if they'll increase the number of med admissions this year

oooo 15 from knox.. not bad.. I know it's the hard work the students put in and not the college they go to.. but still, it's nice to know.

Where did you get these numbers from anyway? Just from asking around?

If you're flying on Air New Zealand the max luggage is 25kg for suitcases or whatever and then 7kg for the one bag you can take on the plane (as a guide) I'm taking a suitcase and laptop bag.
