Yeah, was some kinda funny specific stuff. Remembered about Na in saliva but couldn't remember about HCO3. Also lots of sneaky word changing, and practically no anatomy which was lame.

Going by the threads in the Otago dent forum, I'd have to say I think Kai might be right on that one... 42 raw is like, 20th%ile, no? Can't see that getting an interview.

My bad. 48/49.

I even got my own score mixed up. I like took 10 points off my raw scores the other day when I was comforting someone... and then I checked it. Was like.. oops. Not the best look... But sure as hell wasn't intentional.

Anyway, how are the interview offers coming along?

Many people heading out to town for one last hoorah before buckling down?

Why is the entry into HSFY so low? I'm not expecting it to be really high, but a general science degree in most reputable unis have a much higher entry rank.

1) Lol at 'reputable unis'.
2) Welcome to NZ, nobody cares how you did at high school.
3) NZ uni entry standards are hideously low for just about everything, pass at high-school and you can take just about anything you like (because most 'competitive' courses in NZ use competitive first-year programs, rather than high-school marks, as selection criteria).

Entry into HSFY is the same as that of BSc, BA etc at Otago.

That's because it's a first year BSc where the slate is wiped clean, and if you work hard enough (if you have a high UMAT, it'll let you get away with a little bit more slacking, but not much) you'll then be truly accepted into an actual professional programme (med, dent, pharm, etc).

EDIT: and as froot said, NZ uni entry standards are hideously low.

LOL I know, I know... but I had to say it, the three unis closest to me are quite shocking
Just so weird in comparison to Australia. Quite good though :)

I reject your reality and substitute my own. It's his 70 billionth year running, although this is an estimate due to him being the best teacher since before time began.

As a matter of fact, it is only a technicality that holds him back from being the best person since before time immemorial - this title cannot be awarded to Australians and as such has been awarded to Frank Griffin instead.

Many believe that Frank and Tony are actually not of this world, and are beings sent from an alternate dimension to teach Humans how to not be dicks, and love science - the language of their people. In fact, legend has it they were sent after being banished from their realm (some where near the Supermassive black hole of the Musethebandsu CK-s galaxy) on account of being too awesome.

Frank is pretty great as well, the immune system lectures put me off him though, I still have no clue what the difference is between type-I, III and IV hypersensitivity are..

Yeah, i reckon immune was probably the poorest taught module out of all modules in HUBS this year..does he take other first year stuff too?

Well screw you guys then, I'm going to watch adventure time.

And by that I mean study.

And by study I mean pretend to study but actually watch adventure time.
