Wow just got the most abuse of my life walking home from the library with my mates carying books and stuff. We somehow mananged to time it so we were walking past all the thursday night drinkers from my hall (pretty much every1) and otherwise!
So many calls of "Health sci faggots!" and " F*** you health scis!" and "why the f*** are you studying?"
Haha the price we pay it seems

I had a simillar thing happen to me just a minute ago. I went to the floor kitchen to get a glass of water, and the people on my floor were talking in the hallway. I came back from the kitchen and closed the door, and I could hear people through the door saying things like "He's such a geek/retard/loser etc." Not exactly the same verbal tirade pete7 was subjected to, but still unsettling none the less considering these are people on my own floor. Bonding over negativity seems to be universal.

"And the centripetal...ahem...force of the car is directed towards the centre of the...ahem...circle. So if the car moves at constant velocity...ahem...it will drive straight into the ditch"

Sorry to hear about the verbal abuse you guys are going through. Just remember, we will have the last laugh!

Whaaaaaaaat holy crap and you're at St Margs too wtf. Did you end up with like a totally non health sci floor or something. That sort of stuff would never ever happen at Aquinas even if you ended up on a floor with no health scis.

Ok koochkooch maybe not the best picture but we get the point..haha

That's never happened at Knox either eh.. I think after the initiation we all realised how true safety in numbers is..

Everyone in Selwyn is really nice tho and my floor is so awsum. Its just some of the 2nd years are intimidating and get drunk alot

I found a good stress relief its a bit odd but I thought about some songs to listen to while doing some work and right at this moment I'm listening to the lion king soundtrack.

It could work with anger relief too haha

Lol no prob, I'd rather you not mention actual names on the forums anyway ^_^. We'd just been in the science library and were on our way into town.
I totally did not expect you to be a runner  omg 15k:eek:

I just didn't think of you in that manner.

How was the meeting today? Sorry I couldn't come. I was out for lunch :P

Great turn out today guys, very productive meeting. Look forward to seeing all of you next saturday, same time! That includes you arutha :P

Does any of you guys know where I can find some physics problems to do for phsi191? There are no questions in the new phys textbook and the lecturer said on the discussion board that the phys department would be rolling out questions weekly via blackboard, but I haven't seen any from last week. Stoping short of using the exam questions -I think it's best to save these till near the exams (do you agree?)- where can I find some? Maybe I could use the old textbook from last year, if it has questions in it? Does anyone know the title of the old textbook? Avaliable from the library I assume.
thanks:)

I personally wouldn't recommend using last year's textbook for the problems, as they're all in imperial units (feet, pounds). While this doesn't really pose that much of a problem, it can be annoying.

Go blackboard --> PHSI191 --> tools --> useful links --> web exams or something very close to that sequence. Those ones have solutions. Then there's the past PHSI papers and the paper that PHSI replaced (can't remember but just search for PHSI and look for 100 level papers) on the past paper exam search thing.

The pop health at Otago is one of the hardest papers to do well in, but it's not as hard as the pop health at Auckland from what I've seen.
