Guys, for WSU, they use the treshold of a 93 ATAR for GWS, for how long is that valid? E.g can I still use my ATAR for the next 3 ucat sittings or do they use my GPA eventually. Want to know in advance as I would rather focus more on the ucat than uni since my star is already above the threshold.
Thnx

Hi all, I wanted to ask what would be the bare minimum UCAT to get around in order to get an interview offer? My brother touched the 80th. During my time I remember 80th was good enough for interview offers in most universities. However, I am not sure if that's the case anymore.

Need more details. If he is rural then maybe. But if not, the chances of receiving an interview is low.

Once you have a completed degree they’ll discard your ATAR.

He is in Adelaide and trying for Uni Adelaide and Flinders Uni. However, if any other uni outside accepts this score, he will gladly take it. He is not rural. :(

Im not an admissions guru like A1, but given he isn't rural then there's no real chance of him being given an interview offer from any interstate uni.
Would be good looking at past years interview offers for SA applicants at Adelaide uni. Last year there were 2 people offered an interview with scores of 81% (offered a spot with an atar of 99.40) and 72%.

hey, I've sat UCAT for practice for next year and heres my scores.

VR: 560
DM: 630
QR: 770
AR: 890

TOTAL: 2850

SJ:559

I did really bad on the VR which I'm struggling to improve and it was mostly long passages. QR was lower than what I expected I guess I got some wrong 😢. DM, I found the syllogisms harder than what I've been practicing. SJ I'm still lost on it..

Hope I improve next year!!

Hi guys, would like some help to know my chances with NSW unis or even interstate with my scores this year :) I understand my UCAT score is not competitive for nearly all unis but I was wondering if I maybe had a chance somewhere?

Applying for: Medicine
Predicted ATAR/GPA: 99.6-99.7
VR: 640
DM: 690
QR: 880
AR: 870
Total: 3080
SJ: 626
Possible WSU Formula Total (58%VR + 12%DM + 12%QR + 18%AR): 716.2
Current State: NSW
Applying to: UNSW, WSU, JMP
Rural Applicant: No
GWS Applicant: Yes
Indigenous Applicant: No
Other: N/A

New to this forum, hi everyone!

I sat my very first UCAT last week with very little preparation (approx. 2weeks) as I have only decided to make a career change very recently and full time work.

Not surprisingly, my score is prob not good enough for any uni admission. (2540+563) I do have a master degree in statistics with a gpa of 6.8. So I think that should be equivalent to ATAR 99?

Just wondering how long does it take for you guys on average to prepare for the test? And what your study schedule are like? Thanks! ☺️

Hello everyone :) I sat the UCAT today and would like to know my chances to an interview into undergrad medicine to any unis in Australia.
  • Highschool leaver TAS
  • RA2, eligible for EAS, SEAS
  • UCAT:
    • VR: 650
    • DM: 710
    • QR: 800
    • AR: 680
    • Total: 2840
    • SJT: 718
  • Predicted ATAR: around ~98/99
Is it possible to still get interviews for mainland universities with this UCAT score? My VR was much lower than I expected as it was consistently my highest section (oh well). I specifically am hoping for Monash or UNSW.
Goodluck to everyone else sitting the UCAT this year!

Consider also applying to Notre Dame Assured Pathway into their Postgrad Med course as it is located in Sydney and also is new so will most likely have lower scores (next yr is first yr running so there is no data on whats competitive or not but given its 7 years long and new, it will probably have lower ucat scores than the other NSW schools)

I did the UCAT today and got 3280. So relieved.
I got 99.55 ATAR last year did the UCAT but only got 2900.
Was aiming for med but only got one interview at Bond and didn't get an offer as interview skills are a weakness. Didn't apply for dentistry last year.
Have re assessed and aiming for Uni Qld dentistry now.

Hey guys, I got:
VR: 640
DM: 770
QR: 880
AR: 890
Total: 3180

If I'm GWS, what are my chances of getting WSU unbonded or Newcastle unbonded or UNSW Kensington unbonded if my atar is 99.85?
Like would I need to beast mode the interview (basically I dont understand the chances of getting bonded/unbonded)

bonded v unbonded is just based off your final rank g, plus there's nothing bad about getting either
