The following table shows preliminary statistics for UCAT ANZ 2024. Over 15 000 candidates sat the UCAT ANZ 2024. Further details, including a percentile calculator, will be provided in coming weeks.
Mean: 2588

50th percentile VR - DM - QR - AR - Total
2023 : 600 - 640 - 650 - 640 - 2,550
2024 : 620 - 630 - 650 - 650 - 2,570

2023 90%ile was 3000, this year probably around 3020 I guess.
 
I’m getting a lot of mixed advice so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of where i should apply, anywhere in australia for med or dent with a 3140 ucat and an atar that will probably be 95-97.

On UAC I put unsw (just in case i manage to bump my atar up, but wishful thinking i know) as number 1, western sydney number 2, newcastle number 3, and charles sturt dentistry number 4. However I’m a bit lost on where, if anywhere, i have any chance interstate.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated!!

Hi everyone, seeing all these UCAT posts and I am a bit worried about my chances.
My ucat was only 2850, SJ was 611, i am in yr 12. not country, disadvantaged, broadway etc... just a regular yr 12 application.
My predicted atar ranges from 98.5 to 99.15 depending on the calculator. Casper went badly,only got 25 to 49th quartile. My first choice is curtin uni, then UWA, then Notre dame freo.
Based on yr 11 marks, my atar was 99.25
What chances do i have at any of them?
As my casper is bad, and curtin use casper, should i change preference order to uwa, notre dame, then curtin?
What do they use to select candidates to interview? UCAT, & yr 11 results, as ATAR results out later i think?
 
Hi i am in yr 12, not rural, broadway, sep up or anything. Just a standard application.
My UCAT was 2850, my casper was only 25th to 49th quartile. Based on my yr 11 marks, my atar was 99.25. Based on my marks so far my ATAR is 98.5 to 99.4, depends on what calculator that i use. With my casper score do i have much chance of getting into curtin? Curtin is my first choice. I have also put on my preferences UWA & Notre Dame (Fremantle), Do i have more chance at UWA than curtin? Maybe i do not have much chance with such a low ucat? Thinking i should change my preferences. Any advice appreciated

What was your Casper quartile if you don't mind me asking? Curtin uses 35:35:30 casper: predicted atar:ucat , uwa uses 100% ucat to rank for interview offers

If 1st = highest and 4th = lowest quartile then I think 3rd as they state 25-49.

That said, I’ve not sat Casper and haven’t followed much about its scoring so I could be interpreting that wrong!

The other way around actually 🤣

4th = highest and 1st = lowest. Therefore 25-49 would fall into the 2nd quartile.
 
Hi I’m wondering if anyone knows if USQ and CQU take Eas adjustments. Also with a ucat of 3260 and 97-98 predicted atar with no subject adjustments should I apply to USQ and CQU as bonded or unbonded

I’m from QLD btw

Maybe apply to non-UCAT unis as well such as JCU/Bond

I think I may get a UNSW interview, any others? Will apply JCU as well, but last year I didn’t get an interview. Also, ik it’s med forum, but anyone know about dental unis? Do I have any chances? Thank you.

Tbh, your UCAT probably is too low. You can apply to the non-UCAT unis such as JCU and Bond (FFP).

Another potential FFP option is UMelb ‘guaranteed’ entry (I say that cautiously because you do need to maintain a 75WAM to transition to Med). With this option you can also sit GAMSAT and try for a CSP (at UMelb or any other graduate uni) with the knowledge that you have a FFP option as backup IF that’s a financially feasible option for you (it obviously wouldn’t be for lots of people - including me, but some are fortunate to be in that position).

You also have non-standard options you can apply for after you start any backup degree which is always an important option to remember. Not everything rests on this admission cycle.

JCU is probably your best bet for both.

And don’t forget about non-standard entry options once you start a backup degree and then graduate entry options once you’ve completed it (more than 50% of Aus med students take one of these routes to an offer - definitely a very viable alternative to keep in mind).
