VR: 600
DM: 770
QR: 720😡
AR: 740
2840 total (💩 for non standard I think)

im pretty disappointed tbh, I hit my DM and VR goals as they were my worst subsections in practise. I scored 800+ on every single mock I did for QR even getting a few 900s, but the real test was SO MUCH HARDER? I didn’t get a single easy questions set I was honestly shocked, everything was super wordy and data filled, questions involving 4-5 calculations absolute minimum!

as for nerves I was actually really calm so I don’t think that was an issue tbh, anyway good luck to everyone else yet to do their test!!
This was pretty much how I felt about my QR last year (scored 670). Everyone I talked to said it was the easiest section in the exam but it was just so much harder for me.
To the high scorers: how did you feel straight after the exam? Were you confident/unsure if you did well, or was there an element of surprise when you got your scores?
10 seconds of excitement looking after at my scores then doubt that there'd been some kind of glitch and if I refreshed the page my scores would go away 😭😭

I'm actually quite interested in your case, your year-on-year score increase has been the biggest we've seen on MSO this year, not just in terms of absolute score (+570), but relative also - if we assume 2021's score distribution is the same as last year, you effectively went from 2900th/14,000 (79%ile) to 44th/14,000 (99.69%ile). In my year (2019), the second highest score in SA was 3320. What were your mock performances like and did they change much from last year to this year?

Hey all, here is my score from this years ucat run, first time taking test officially. Completed about a week ago at Bridge Street test center, Sydney.
Verbal Reasoning630
Decision Making730
Quantitative Reasoning730
Abstract Reasoning830
Total Score2920

QR and AR I personally found much easier than the official mocks listed on the UCAT Consortium. I was averaging 630 and 730 respectively for each of those sections throughout the official mocks. DM was roughly the same difficulty. VR, on the other hand, I felt included much longer passages, not sure if I just wasnt warmed up but got 100 lower than I was averaging in mocks

Gl all sitting

Was the computer at the Boxhill test centre laggy? I have found that it takes a few seconds for the next page to load on the official mocks
hmmm yeah it wasn't super responsive but it got the job done
well done on the score mate! would definitely been keen to see the spreadsheet of your mock results if you are comfortable with posting that :)
yep i'll upload it once im back from the snow which will be tomorrow!

Last year I did about 5-6 mocks (excluding the official ones) and they were done pretty late 6-8pm. Scores were in the 2700-2900 range. This year I did 20 mocks, all at midday. I was scoring in the 3000-3300 range, only had one outlier of 2800 in the week of my ucat.

That's seriously impressive how much you managed to improve in your mocks, must've had some sort of enlightenment hahah :D That confirms my thoughts though, as I would've found it incredible if you were still hovering around 2700-2900 in your mocks but managed to pull off 3300+ in the real thing, as past performance is the best indicator of future performance. It seems that you underperformed last year (pulled an unlucky QR set) but set the record straight and then some this year (I assume your 3340 UCAT score is in the higher range of your already-high practice scores). Congrats!

This is why I suggested if you see unbelievable scores always take a screenshot to preserve the evidence in case they vapourise later ;)

Any tips for someone scoring poorly in DM even if it was their best when they started? specially Y/N questions and strongest argument ones how close are they to the official ones and is it good to make a diagram first for y/n or just keep everything in head and then do it? how are the maths yes and nos? :(

I think for DM you need to read all the answer options for the logical puzzles while you are working it out because sometimes you don’t need to solve the whole thing
For the yes and no, practice was the best way to improve for me and going through the answers carefully. I think you need to make sure you don’t assume anything that isn’t explicitly stated :) hope this helps?

Hi guys!
I just did my UCAT today and got a score of 2880. (Content removed). Also, does anyone know when the percentiles will come out?

Hey all, just a reminder that when official percentiles have been released, we will open a dedicated thread for people to post their details for informal advice on applications and interviews.

Until then, please be patient. This thread is for discussing UCAT experiences.

Thank you.

Looking through last year's thread as suggested and I don't think there are as many 3000+ scores as I have seen this year....who believes that the percentiles will rise once again?

Also due to lockdown when exactly is the latest testing date? September?

Last year by late August there were 74 (out of 155) 3000+ scores. Do you know how many currently?

I think MSO posts are a better indicator of how people feel about their results rather than a great indicator of the results themselves.

Eg in 2019 anything above ~2900 was a safe bet, so when people got their 2020 results, scores above 2900 were thought of as a safe bet but a shift in percentiles changed that.

This year, the percentiles could be the exact same but because they are comparing with 2020 results people, those who are borderline might not be reporting it (compared to 2020 sitters who were borderline but thought they had done alot better)

Hi, I have to reschedule my test (Melbourne). I have tried rescheduling it 2 times, is it normal for it to still have the temporary date that Pearson gave on the dashboard or have I done something wrong?

Sorry for the double post (new user here), but I think the issue is everytime I go to reschedule appointment, it says "Your appointment for the UCAT_ANZ:UCAT Australia and New Zealand exam is no longer available." . I'm going to call Pearson but has anyone else who has to reschedule had the same issue?
