Hey there, been lurking for a while now, I sat my ucat a few days ago and here's how it went:
Test date: 18/8/2021
Test centre: pearson centre Sydney
VR: 580
DM: 660
QR: 800
AR: 690
TOTAL: 2730
Overall very bummed, nerves and pressure ended up getting the best of m on the day. i feel like they play a more important role than even preparation. All my prep went to waste because of the anxiety I get sitting an important exam.
VR: honestly expected less hehehe. VR was an absolute nightmare during prep, I don't think I ever hit 600 in my mocks and fortunately for me the ucat VR was even harder than my mocks. Nearly all author and inference qtns. Pretty sure I ended up guessing almost every qtn there. All texts were mainly history or science based.
DM: this was the section that I needed to score good in to have a chance. But i was extremely nervous after a bad VR and the pen wasn't working properly which made me even more nervous. They through some curveballs in the venn diagram and probability which messed me up and syllogisms were quite complex lots of double negatives
QR: surprisingly i was expecting better, i was averaging 850+ in all mocks. But like i said the pressure got to me. I had one hard set at the beginning which threw me off
AR: the most disappointed, probably prepped the most for this. AR id say is a ball game to an extent. All depends if u recognise the pattern on the day
Make sure you in your pre exam time you test out the pen. sometimes u need to write at a weird angle. Also why not just pen and paper, like wot why did it have to be laminated booklet and texter
Should i bother applying?
