Right, I see... it just feels strange that approximately 3000 students, who would be predominantly NSW, all haven't sat their UCAT yet... here's to hoping 🙏
Reminder that the UCAT statistics only included people from July 1 to Aug 11. There were a whole lot of students who did the test after that date PLUS the NSW students still to go.

An update to this information with be provided in mid-September to show statistics to September 5. Given the large number of candidates represented in this table and the cross-section of candidates represented, we do not expect final figures to differ much from those presented here.
(from the 2021 Preliminary Stats doc)

Would it be reasonable to infer that Pearson VUE might reschedule all remaining candidates to test before/on the 5th of Sept?

Not sure. I do feel like, unless the candidates are unwell they need to get them assessed one way or the other ASAP. It would make sense to set up online for the NSW people who can’t leave home.

The Pearson VUE Sydney CBD centre is open for testing - I suspect they'll move all remaining candidates there as going online would mean that we wouldn't be able to use a physical noteboard (disparity). Anyway, probably best to prepare like they will!

Anyone in still yet to take the UCAT in Melbourne know what’s going to happen if lockdown is extended ? Is there a chance they could just cancel our tests? 😭

i did mine in melbourne during lockdown!! they just move you to the box hill or melbourne central centre! they're actually quite lenient for us ucat sitters to 'break' lockdown rules (technically its part of education so we all g) :)

I doubt it, it’s too late for them to back out. Don’t overthink (I know that’s hard) and prepare + take care of your mental health!
Thank you so much ☺️

Omg yay! That’s good to hear, did you do it in box hill or Melbourne central ? If so did you have any difficulties during the test or anything?

I wish that was the case but Pearson has been adamant they want all test-takers to do the test in one of the testing sites. In fact in one of their earlier updates on their Covid-19 page, it states that UCAT ANZ is not an online test and in so many words, efforts will be made to accommodate everyone. Releasing the preliminary stats heightens the anxiety of many awaiting test-takers.

Thank you so much ☺️

melbourne central! took a 40min train there and surprisingly didn't get stopped by cops to ask why i was in the city at all ! only difficulty was my computer shutting down mid-way through QR lol but regarding lockdown, nothing - i reckon bc lots of people were there to get the vaccine at the exhibition centre anyways

Hi, just wanted to ask what is the highest score possible in Situational Judgement? My son got a score of 872 and he was assuming it is out of 900. Could it be a mistake?

Considering that the highest score in all of Australia and New Zealand every year is around 750, your son has far exceeded that and is likely the holder of the highest SJ score this year. While SJ is indeed out of 900, it is not one of the sections where you can normally get full marks (your son being the exception obviously). The vast majority of sitters score between 550 and 700.

Thanks, on an another website, for a percetile calculator, it wouldn’t simply allowing me to enter anything over 730. I had started hoping that they had mistakenly swapped his AR mark with SJ. With his total of 3010, he could have easily used those extra marks more effectively…

so this is what it says on the wsu page. Correct me if I'm wrong but, if you have commenced uni, it doesn't matter what you're ATAR was, only GPA matters now?[MedStudentsOnline.com.au] Post UCAT Discussion Thread 2021

This WSU webpage has been like that for some time (at least since last year), but 3 weeks ago a WSU Chat agent confirmed they still use ATAR if your GPA doesn't meet the hurdle. See the three posts from this > JPM - WSU/CSU JPM: WSU General Discussion and Questions

hi guys,

I'm a long time lurker and just did my test today.

venue: Pearson Professional Centre - Bridge St, Sydney

VR: 640
DM: 850
QR:870
AR: 750

Total: 3110
SJ: 550

Walking out I had no idea how I felt about the exam. I think DM and QR felt easier than all the prep I had done. I was a bit frazzled due to personal circumstances so VR was lower than I was expecting. and I was just dead for AR and SJ But crossing my fingers that its enough!

The other scores are units in tens, it is not possible to have a 872 for any of the other parts, except the SJT.
