Sat it twice in 2006 and 2012.
No blind guesses (only 'educated' guesses)
Scored 205 both times - hows that for consistency?

Pretty crap? HAHA JOKES! Hats off to you :)

The reason I asked is because I blind guessed 10 altogether, and made a few more educated guesses. So, I don’t know what to think, especially considering several of us here are agreeing on the same answers.

I don't know for you either. If your 10 blind guesses were due to spending extra time to ensure the unguessed 120 questions were spot on correct you will be top end of 100%ile. Otoh if those 120 were kind of uncertain you could end up 50%ile.

In other words, pick a random number :D

It's always a nice psychological boost when you have other people agreeing with your answers. In terms of number you guessed, of course every mark counts (especially to differentiate at near-cutoff marks). Assuming you get 20-25% of those guessed questions, and comparing it to a stellar 90% correct (this is very generous and 90% of all questions right is an easy 100%ile) you're looking at a difference of seven questions or approximately 14 marks worth of questions you would have lost by blindly guessing.

Averaging this per section you would have lost approximately 5 marks per section. This makes a different impact depending on your remaining overall score - if you were at 99%ile it would have made the difference between that and 100%ile, but if you were at 80%ile you could have made 90%ile with those marks.

How many did you blindly guess, and what was your score/percentile?
I know of people who left S1 to last and blindly guessed 30 s1 questions and still got 50 percentile in s1 lol. The overall standard in S1 is lower than the other sections.

Do you mean 50 score or 50 %ile?

The marks are deliberately manipulated / scaled / adjusted (pick any word you want to use) so that ~50 marks is 50%ile and 80+ marks are 99-100%ile of a section.

(Deliberately because if we take a random class of students doing a random exam, their median mark could be anything not 50 every time).

That was one of the ones I completely guessed, was NOT sure of the options past the intersections.
I think with this there was also a pattern of increasing triangles that were created by the crossovers, those that had 5 intersecting lines, one had 6 triangles and the other had like 7 so I chose the one with 6 triangles cause it followed the pattern. Could be wrong though but that’s how I differentiated between those 2.

ranting about pet peeves from yesterday, to distract myself.

answer sheet preferred 2B pencil over HB, but instructions said to bring HB or no.2 pencils
also said to bring pencils and erasers. brought sharpener anyway but then thought better of it and put it in my bag, then attendees said you could have a sharpener. had to wade through other people's bags to get it... kudos to people who brought mechanical pencils or sharpened both sides of their pencils.

did you see how answer sheet said copyright acer 2017? are we not worthy of 2018 sheets?

random question. how many pencils and erasers did you bring? 3 and 2 respectively
and how early did you arrive? I arrived an hour early, but I know some who were here 2 hours beforehand.
