Post-UMAT 2018 Debrief Thread

I wish I had this kind of willpower lol, because I know that getting disappointed with the UMAT will affect my motivation for the rest of year 12.

It's easy to get around this. Give me your ACER password, I change it and you won't be able to log in to check haha.

All this UMAT talk has got me wondering what the perfect preparation for UMAT would be. I'm talking about starting again from birth with the sole purpose of crushing the UMAT. I think I would focus more heavily on maths from an early age, also invest a lot of time in activities that stimulate logical reasoning, problem-solving skills such as playing chess or sudoku (correct me if these activities do not actually help) and participate in many team events eg. sport, debate etc. What would you guys do?

Yes, I realise after writing this that I'm essentially asking how to raise a child XD

Best way to raise a child that will smash umat is to make them attend the 2 day medentry workshop each year until they’re in year 12

Issa joke about how the workshops R useless boss
What is this 'joke' of which you speak? There are no jokes when it comes to UMAT. You spend hundreds of dollars/hours on useless preparation with no evidence base, or it's 0-20th for you.

Nah but jokes aside, the best way to prepare ur kid for umat is when they are 18 weeks old in the womb and their sense of hearing starts to kick in u begin playing medentry guides on how to pick the middle. Section 3 has greatest evidence of improvement

frootloop u said no evidence base well there’s the evidence and I challenge u to come up with an alternative and equally as effective method of umat preparation

Surprised no one besides me used brain training games to get better at umat lmao sucks to be u guys
