Super solid chances at uwa and Curtin. If you notice at uwa's website, no other course except for csp direct entry med had a max of 99.95 if I remember correctly. That implies that pretty much every person that got a 99.95 got into medicine. I very much doubt that you won't be able to get an interview at either uni even though they weight ucat very heavily for interview offers.
Monash you haven't got much of a chance. They historically have had interview cutoffs at 91%ile with a 99.95 atar so you won't be able to get an interview. UTAS is a probably, but I won't bank on it because they've changed up the selection criteria quite recently. Your best bet rn is UWA or Curtin imo, the 99.45 is not very favourable for any other uni with your ucat score (maybe JMP or WSU? Uq and Griffith and UNSW are out of the question - might want to try giving JCU a shot.)
On another note wasn't it you that was eligible for a 99.95 provisional at usyd? That would be very favourable for you.
Thank you. And no, I'm not the person that got usyd provisional. I did A Levels, and different states convert it differently into an atar. I got 99.95 only in victoria, western australia, and possibly tasmania

Don't forget about griffith, unimelb, usyd, and Flinders they all have preferences that lie towards the atar side of things.

Yes to interviews at: UAdel, Curtin, UWA, UNSW, JMP, & WSU. Monash is harder to say given you're from NSW. JCU will depend on your written application. Flinders, UQ, Griffith, and UTAS don't interview. You should get a UQ offer. You'll miss out on Griffith and Flinders. UTAS is impossible to say.

I have pretty much same scores as you (~99.5 atar equivalent & 3120 UCAT score). For UNSW, A1 said I’d have about a 60-70% chance for a spot. So I’d imagine it’s pretty similar for you too :)

I’d be surprised if you didn’t get interviews everywhere you applied. You should be very confident of an unbonded UQ place offer as well. UTAS, Griffith and Flinders are the only unis that you might miss out on (due to your ATAR) but worth an application to UTAS as it’s free anyway (and if you have room on your UAC/QTAC/SATAC preferences, Griffith and Flinders too). Something tells me you won’t need to rely on those unis anyway!

Is your predicted atar including SEAS bonuses or without it? If it is with SEAS bonuses, you will need to refer to your normal ATAR to get a prediction about curtin or UWA since they do not offer bonuses to those out of state.

You’ll get interviews at all of the interviewing unis that you’re applying to and a non-bonded place offer at UQ. Rough place offer chances are: 1/4 JMP, 30% WSU (but realistically probably a higher chance for these as many of the interviewees will end up at other universities) and I’ll let A1 do the rest if he wants to, but TLDR is that it all comes down to your interview performances now! Well done on your awesome scores :)

Hi TKAO, it is without SEAS bonuses- cheers!
In that case you are pretty much guaranteed an interview at UWA and curtin as well :)) Try to get your ATAR up and you'd be on your way to getting a griffith/usc offer as well without an interview

Many thanks!

Assuming you will have 1 FTE by year end your GPA will convert to 99.5, combined with 99.05 to ~99.3 equiv Rank. That with 97%ile puts you around 50/50 offer chance so need be in the top half of interviews. Top third is even better.

I would bet my entire family fortune on you making medical school next year. Those are some massive numbers. Unless you are a total dud/awakward at interviews - you absolutely should get in. 100% apply to flinders as they don't have an interview so your score would get you a place.

I can't answer with certainty for UNSW (but I'm quite sure you'll get an interview as a rural applicant). WSU is probably out unfortunately. I'd expect you to get a JMP interview as a rural applicant, and from there it will come down to your interview. Your chances at JCU depend on a) how rural you actually are (JCU use a rurality index so an RA-5 is much more competitive than an RA-2, for example) and b) the quality of your written application.

Good luck! :)

Specific Question:

What are my chances lads? And should I apply to any other undergrad uni for dent or medicine? I am taking the GAMSAT as well obviously.
For medicine: Bond and JCU are your only undergraduate uni options due to your UCAT score, unfortunately. Other than that the graduate entry pathway is probably your best bet.

For dentistry: Again JCU is probably your only option, excluding the graduate entry schools.

A non-rural applicant would very likely not gain a Flinders offer with a 99.6, as they are based 90% off ATAR. Typically a 99.85+ would be required unless the OP has UES.
My family friend with a 99.4 ATAR gained a spot last year with a UMAT of 96. Non rural.
