I think JCU (dependant on your written application), UWA, Curtin, CDU and Flinders would be your best options, only if you secure a very high ATAR - are you rural/qualify for any equity bonuses by any chance?Sorry but I’m really just interested in med. you know if I have a chance of acceptance with that ucat (87th percentile)?
If you smash the interview then you might have a chance. It also depends on how high your '98' atar is.What are my chances at Adelaide with an ATAR in the 98’s and a 96 percentile UCAT? I got an interview but I don’t wanna go if I have no chance
It would probably be around 98.7. Do you know what the median might be for uadel? If you smash the interview then you might have a chance. It also depends on how high your '98' atar is.
You can check median atar for last yearIt would probably be around 98.7. Do you know what the median might be for uadel?
By the looks of things, they haven’t separated the rural and non-rural student data, so for any non-rural applicants be aware that the median was actually probably higher than what the site says. You can check median atar for last year
All but uq I am pretty sureWould any uni's let you re-apply as a school leaver/provisional next year if you take a gap year (no further study) and resit the UCAT?
It's quite hard to say whether there's absolutely no chance at all or not seeing as the atar, ucat, and interview scores can vary a lot depending on the candidates. Basically I think as long as the majority of the applicants aren't all high atar high ucat scorers then there's a chance depending on the cohort and your interview performanceWhat are my chances at Adelaide with an ATAR in the 98’s and a 96 percentile UCAT? It looks like someone with a 2850 UCAT was rejected from CSU, so unless you're a rural unfortunately I don't think they'll invite youany chance for csu dent with a 2730 ucat?
This isn't Adelaide-specific but it would do everyone well to hear it: If you are invited for an interview, you do have a chance. Otherwise the university wouldn't bother interviewing you. Of course some applicants have a better chance because of their ATAR/UCAT combination than others, but the interview is generally going to be the important differentiating factor between applicants. Nobody should ever go into an interview thinking "I don't have much of a chance because of my x ATAR or y UCAT" or "I don't have to do that well here because my ATAR and UCAT are really high". Everyone should be treating the interview very seriously and ensuring they prepare on the day adequately. Nobody will gain anything from focussing specifically on their chances. What are my chances at Adelaide with an ATAR in the 98’s and a 96 percentile UCAT? In the case of the uni telling an applicant's chance, didn't this apply to lmg but only because she was interstate? This isn't Adelaide-specific but it would do everyone well to hear it: If you are invited for an interview, you do have a chance. For those who don't want to make the financial and/or time investment because they believe they may have a relatively lower chance, I completely understand this perspective. It may be worth contacting the university specifically and expressing your concerns, and seeing what they have to say. Some (for example I know UNSW outright does this) will be very open with you and tell you that you have e.g. less than a 5% chance of gaining a place offer. It can't hurt to see if Adelaide or any of the other unis you may have concerns about will do the same.
I might be confused, but i thought once you got an interview for UAdel it was simply on your performance in the interview to determine whether you receive an offer or not. It's quite hard to say whether there's absolutely no chance at all or not seeing as the atar, ucat, and interview scores can vary a lot depending on the candidates.
