Specific Questions: Given my low UCAT scores, will I stand a chance for an interview invite from Monash University this year? My expected ATAR is around 99.90. I would really like to stay in my home state VIC if possible but unfortunately my UCAT scores are letting me down :( Thanks!

Thank you so much!!

You should get interviews at UQ, JMP, possibly UWA and Curtin. UAdel will depend on the effect of the new system this year. Monash will rely on you being a local, keep your fingers crossed.

Unfortunately I very much doubt it for Monash. UMelb would be a safer local bet for you. Best of luck!

Really sorry mods but is there a reason you skipped over my request for results prediction? Not wanting to come across as aggressive!!

Tbh, it’s usually just that we’ve missed it, but in your case, I have read it and just didn’t personally know the answer (and hoped someone else would)! If you didn’t have SEAS I’d say no, but I honestly don’t know exactly what the SEAS will do for you. Lear may know more about how it could work? /throwslearunderbus

No problem, thanks for a swift reply- I know that SEAS will change my 'selection ranking', which only applies to ATAR anyway. Would you say I have a chance for second round offers for Monash (in Jan) if my ATAR was around 99.5?

Hi!

What type of SEAS do you have? Have you tried using the Monash Guarantee calculator? Are you eligible for an ATAR boost?

In any case, given you’re a vic applicant and Monash cherishes us, you should be able to get an interview with a mid 99s ATAR even without the SEAS or guarantee.

ETA: Please note I’ve been out of the admissions stuff for two years now. However, if this year is anything like what my year was (I dont see why it wouldn’t?) you are almost guaranteed an interview

JCU is always impossible to predict, keep your fingers crossed for that one.
No for JPM/WSU
UNSW will depend on whether the academic requirement shifts at all as you're right on last year's hard hurdle. If it moves up, you're out, if it stays the same or drops, you're in :D ETA: actually, it might have been 99.20, not 99.25 last year... either way... you're very close to the line!
Yes for JMP

You should get a JMP interview, but your UCAT will be too low for a non-rural JPM one, and will likely be too low for a GWS one, too, unfortunately. JMP is definitely your best bet. Good luck!

You should definitely get a JMP rural interview. Any reason you're not applying to JPM? Their rural cut off is likely to drop a fair bit (though, to be honest, I haven't added up your scores, so I'm not 100% sure what your competitiveness would be). The BMedRes is an elusive beast and I'm not sure how to advise you on that one! Best of luck! (Fingers crossed for UTAS ;) )

Thank you :) Yeah, I agree. Not competitive enough for JPM non-rural, but thank you for your response and well wishes
