Indigenous Applicant: no
Other: SEAS - (for wrist injury so probably won't get much)
Specific Question: none

Do you think I have a chance at getting an interview anywhere? I know both my UCAT and predicted ATAR are on the lower ends :(

You may get a Bond psychometric assessment invite. Monash is hard to say as it will depend on your SEAS adjustment. JCU will depend on the strength of your written application. They are probably your best bets. Good luck.

I just posted in a UQ thread but I am truly feeling for those with these high 80s / low 90s UCAT scores this year - such amazing scores and yet just not enough this year (significantly contributed to by university "local graduate" quotas). USC Griffith and JCU may be your best shots at this point. The others are sadly looking unlikely. Best of luck regardless :)

The 99th UCAT works strongly in your favour, particularly as a rural applicant! You should get interviews at all of the unis you're applying to and be in with a great chance of a place offer. Good luck :)

Look I will say I am very confident you will get a spot with 95th, we are only sensing a 2-3% increase so very worst case scenario you will be borderline. The cutoffs have never been above 91st tho. Good luck!

JCU will be very difficult to land an interview with your GPA, but with an exceptional written application it may be possible. You should get a psychometric testing invite for Bond if past data can be relied upon for the upcoming intake. Good luck :)

Just an FYI to everyone that we don't encourage re-asking 'what are my chances' on the basis of your own immediate post-exam 'feelings' on your marks and self-adjusted slightly ATAR as that would be a literal never ending cycle for us until actual ATARs come out and we are almost all mid-exams ourselves at the moment.

Interview invites have started rolling out, so really all you can do now is concentrate on exams if you still have them, start preparing for interviews, know that you've done all you can at this point, and be a bit patient! You can do it!

Good luck to you all for the months ahead :D

Unfortunately with your UCAT score your best chance will be Griffith - but you'll really need an ATAR closer to the 99.7 rather than the 99.45. A provisional entry place at USC will probably require a 99.6, maybe 99.55 if you're lucky. Other than that, you'll need to consider non-standard and/or graduate entry pathways. Good luck :)

Unfortunately not for JMP (who don't typically have top ups), or WSU/JPM who have already sent out top ups. JCU is also unlikely as your GPA is well set so if your written application had been competitive, you'd have been likely to receive a first round invite, though there is always a slight possibility. I also saw that there is some confusion as to whether non-standard interview invites for Curtin have been released yet, so that one is an unknown. Also, we get so little data for Curtin that it's pretty much always impossible to predict.

Have you applied for graduate entry, also? Best of luck!

You should get an interview, beyond that we have no idea (and definitely not to the point of being able to advise you on CSP vs BMP!).

I just looked at the 2020 entry data, and the lowest UCAT was 67th last year, so I’d think you’d likely land an interview. Your chances of a place offer will depend on your interview performance. Good luck!
