Where should I apply? I don't do chem but am willing to do a bridging course.

You're borderline for interviews for JMP, WSU and UQ. Your best bet would be apply griffith and sweat out the last part of year 12 for that 99.5+, and maybe check flinders if your SEAS applicable

Rhythm I just changed Monash from no to yes in case you saw the original version - as a Vic applicant with a very high UCAT you'll definitely get an interview there.

With rurality I'd definitely expect interviews at WSU and JMP. UNSW looks good but depends on your ATAR which you haven't provided. Good luck :)

Applying for: Medicine
Application Type: Non-standard
Predicted ATAR/GPA: 97.75 (2019), 6.67 atm but I technically won't have completed 1FTE of my current degree by the end of the year as I changed my degree partway through the year.
UCAT Percentile Rank: 97th
VR: 670
DM: 710
QR: 870
AR: 880
Total: 3130
SJ: 533
Possible WSU Formula Total (58%VR + 12%DM + 12%QR + 18%AR): 736.6
Current State: NSW
Applying to: WSU, JMP and possibly JCU
Rural Applicant: No
GWS Applicant: Yes
Indigenous Applicant: No
Specific Question: From what I know, my GPA won't convert well into an ATAR/selection rank as JCU uses the most recent course GPA and the conversion for <1 FTE is terrible. Is there any chance they may use my ATAR instead? N.b. I sat their interview last year and may use more or less the same written application I wrote last year.

Could I please find out my chances for these 3 4 universities? Thank you in advance. :)

EDIT: Can I also know my chances for UNSW too? I will have completed 1 year of tertiary study by the end of the year. 1/3 of the year is in one degree (my old degree), while 2/3 of the year is in my current degree (but I will get credits transferred for the units studied in the first degree). Thanks.

Yes for WSU and JMP. Unlikely for UNSW, they will use your atar <1 FTE, and cut off last year was 99.25

I believe JCU will use your ATAR as you are less than 1 FTE. JCU will require a good written application considering they take little non standards and if they use your atar, it will be a bit low for a non rural nonstandard

Yes for JMP and WSU (i calculated your WSU score at 705.4 which is above last years rural of 633). UAdelaide will only take you if youre a current student at UAdel.

WSU is particularly bad at giving out information but interview is either 75% or 100% of place, adelaide is a combo school and their processes are documented in the medicine entrance subforum

Yes JMP, borderline yes for WSU considering your lowish VR score

Edit: Nevermind just saw your GWS, your good for WSU :)

Borderline for JMP and UNSW - last year lowest ucats were both ~90th percentile. Im not too sure about SCATS, but i believe it only applies to UNSW, and it only boosts your academic score, which your are well above last years 99.25 minimum

Edit -likely an invite at bond, UAdelaide and UQ dent, and depending on what UQ and Griffith classify as a school leaver invites there.

JMP - likely interview
UNSW - likely interview,
WSU - unlikely

Bond - likely
JCU will require a good written application

Im not sure if the following universities will classify you as a school leaver, so its worth checking
UQ - likely interview
Adelaide - maybe interview (maybe because new SA student sub quota)
Griffith - might be slightly too low this year

(I'm applying Usyd E12 as well for medicine) ALSO do other states lower UCAT benchmark for rural students or is it just ATAR?

not the greatest marks considering I blew my best section but thanks !

Specific Question: I am sitting the SAT in October, should I achieve a better SAT than IB score, would that be considered instead of my IB altogether?

I have met all the subject prereqs of chemistry, mathematics and english in my IB but intend to apply with SAT if the equivalent ATAR is higher IB equivalent.

You would be borderline for UNSW, good for JMP, unlikely for WSU, good for UQ (especially if you get bonus points for maths - worth a check), good for Adelaide. Not sure about UWA/Curtin as theres little data around here

You should be good for UQ and UAdel Dent

Considering your very rural status + great ATAR, an application to JCU would be worthwhile. Youre likely competitive for UQ, JMP, WSU, UNSW, Monash, Adelaide, and UTAS, (and probably UWA + Curtin + Griffith - although im not familiar with them and their rural scores)
