Applying to: UNSW, JMP, JPM, JCU
Rural Applicant: No
GWS Applicant: Yes
Indigenous Applicant: No
Other: EAS
Specific Question:
What are my chances for JMP, JPM, JCU and UNSW invites? Any Dentistry schools you'd recommend?
Any other unis I can apply to as non standard?
You are around borderline for all three schools UNSW, JMP, JPM/GWS so let's hope for the best. If you can get EAS/SCATS added to your GPA it'd give more UNSW chance.

JCU depends on the written application. Sorry I don't know much about dent schools to comment.

Specific Question: What are my chances for each of these unis? (Especially UNSW kensington)
You should clearly get UNSW & JMP interviews. WSU is borderline though based on last year.
As for UNSW Kensington chance, if you had 99.8+/6.8+ together with 98th I'd say very good chance. But as is you're still some way from the tops so it's probably less than 50/50.

You're borderline both for JMP and WSU/GWS interview.
Without knowing your ATAR/GPA i can't tell whether it's worth applying to UNSW & JCU, or Curtin if you already graduated.

Specific Question: Applied to a few universities but Monash is my main preference. 99+ ATAR is possible but I am more likely to obtain a score between 98-99. I'm eligible for SEAS and MG which Monash's SEAS calculator shows would boost a 98.00 to 99.55.

What are my chances? Should I bother applying to UQ or any other universities?

Vic student plus SEAS/MG boosting ATAR rank toward 99.80 plus 99%ile, with a bit of practice so you don't go off the rail in the MMI you're practically assured of a Monash offer. Adelaide/JMP/WSU interviews are certain, UNSW depends whether you get EAS for ATAR.

Should you apply to UQ as well? I think you should, try to break MSO record of 5 Med + 2 Dent offers 😄

Your numbers are impressive unfortunately they don't fit the selection criteria well for a clear win.

- UQ Dent, unless EAS helps boost your 6.5+ to 99.95 you might not even make into the UCAT-selective round. If it does 94%ile is well placed for an offer.
- Should get interview for Adel Dent, Griffith Dent is too new to know, CSU i'm not familiar with.
- Should get JMP interview, likely not enough for WSU.

- You'd be a good candidate for UWA except for the ATAR, is there any way/bonus you can bring it up to the 99.0 threshold?
- Curtin is a possibility
- If you're doing a LOTE or Maths C equivalent for UQ bonus = UQ Dent offer
- Should also get JMP/UQ Med & Adelaide Med+Dent interviews. Not sure about CSU Dent.

Your case is so simple to answer : interview everywhere except WSU due to their VR weighting.

You should get interviews with all four unis that you've listed. As an interstater, Monash is less clear cut. It might depend on how much of a + there is after that 99.70 ATAR prediction. And yes, they do use SJ.
Thanks so much for clearing things up for me. I've learnt that I qualify for EAS; could you tell me what benefits it actually offers? e.g. having more leniency if I were to receive a lower ATAR etc. Thanks a lot in advance!

Based on previous numbers, you should get interviews at both JMP and JPM. You would also be eligible for Curtin if your degree is complete, JCU (likely not competitive though, unfortunately), and Bond. Best of luck!
Hey there, not here to dissuade you or anything but I don't think this GPA meet the minimum requirement for Curtin. Curtin has a distinction cutoff for non-standard bachelor degree holders. It also traditionally weigh GPA/ATAR heavier than UCAT in their interview selection process and tend to have a higher combo cutoff for interstate applicants.

Yes, your combo score should get you a JPM interview as along as things don’t shift too far from last year’s ~750 requirement. JMP is less likely unless they drop back to their historically typical ~90th%ile requirement (from last year’s 93rd).

Best of luck!!

Question was about eligibility rather than likelihood of an interview, and a completed degree would = eligibility, but yeah, good point re. GPA. Thank you :)

ETA: the GPA ‘requirement’ is a notional ATAR of 92. What would this equate to, GPA-wise? I have no clue, tbh. TKAO A1
