Interviews at JMP and JPM are likely (top up interviews for JMP went below the 600 mark last year) and JMP needed 2450, I believe. UNSW is a possibility depending on your rurality (it’s weighted there). Also, I believe all need those 5 consecutive years to have been after you started school (so during primary school or high school). JCU use some secret method for ranking rurality so it’s impossible to say how (if at all) your current metro address will affect your application.

I’m not sure about UAdel dent, unfortunately. We rarely get data reported here for that category. Hopefully someone else can weigh in.
For UAdel dent you may get an interview [Kinda borderline I think] . Your interview however would have to be quite good as your GPA is quite low compared to the competitive average and this is considered potentially when ranking applicants , same goes with your UCAT

Unfortunately I’m not aware of any medicine universities where your combination of scores would be competitive. Your best bet, at this stage, would probably be to start an undergraduate degree and look towards non-standard entry. As a WA local, you could look to Curtin courses and then investigate course-switching as you progress through your undergrad (as well as applying to the non-standard unis on the East coast). Best of luck!

Are there any uni's in Australia I could get an interview? What are my chances at UNSW without EAS?
JMP is really your only option. And without EAS, there no chance of a UNSW invite. Last year an ATAR of 99.35 was the lowest we saw.

Also, I think I saw you mentioned USyd Dent. I have a feeling it requires a very high (possibly 99.00 or 99.50 plus) ATAR.

I’d think Curtin, JMP, UAdel, and UQ are your best options for a Med interview invite. Do you have subject bonuses for UQ?

For Dent, UAdel, UQ (if you have subject bonuses), maybe CSU. We have very little info on LaTrobe Dent, so I’m not sure about that one.

You should get an interview at WSU granted you meet the academic threshold . The WSU threshold is 5.2 only if you have completed a degree or done 3 years if you have done this then you should be fine. If not and your tertiary study is less than this then the GPA required is a 5.9 or a 6.1 depending on the amount of tertiary study. Your unfortunately unlikely to receive a JMP interview

You should get a WSU interview, your borderline for JMP and UNSW will depend on your GPA. From memory a 99.5 = 6.5+, if this is the case you should get a UNSW invite.

Considering also applying for Griffith Dental but unsure of what the UCAT will be due to it being the first year. Any thoughts on ‘around about’ where it’s likely to sit and if my GPA will be enough?

I think some guesses have been below Adelaide's cut-off of 88th last year. Whilst your GPA is considered and is competitive what is just as important is the interview

Specific Questions:
1) Based on last year's WSU formula total (I know it won't necessarily carry over for this year), would my total be a competitive score for an interview?
2) Do JCU consider between both ATAR and GPA, whichever one is higher and meets the entry requirements? I know JCU has a minimum GPA of 6.4, and I don't think my results are high enough to reach that. In that case, can they still look at ATAR (and written application as well) when deciding to give out interviews?

I contacted WSU about the WAM to GPA issue as a UNSW applicant and they directed me to this link. So you can use it to calculate your GPA if it helps.

Yep, I do Queensland equivalent of Maths C (Specialist) and also I do additional language. Any idea how much that would change/boost my probability of getting in?

Specific Question: Im worried that interviews are going to hold me back. Realistically, how well would my interview have to go at Monash, Adelaide and UNSW to get an offer (as an interstate student at Monash and UNSW)? Would MSO have any statistics as to how many interstate and local applicants get interviewed for each of the three universities? Really want to go to Monash...

Thankyou for the info!!
