I bought a 3M Littman Classic 3 from the UNSW bookshop - seems like the industry standard. Wouldn't bother getting some more expensive such as the Cardiology IV.

Hey guys,
I'm a non-standard who received an unexpected offer today for the Wagga Wagga campus - so I really don't know much about UNSW tbh.
Sorry if these things have already been asked- tried to read through the forums a bit.

Has anyone heard of someone's offer upgrading to a higher-preferred campus as people decline offers? I know people sometimes go from BMP -> CSP so just wondered if the same thing happened with campuses.

Also do we know whether this year is online- I'm interstate so wondering if I have to move for this year or not?

Nope, not difficult at all. And if you have difficulty, just contact UNSW admissions. You may want to unenroll and defer rather than unenroll and withdraw so that you still have the option open to you next year and have more time to secure suitable accommodation.

This might be out of line but if it's accomm, maybe you can try checking flatmates.com? (best to hav house inspection and ofc theres uncertainty with security, housemates etc plus being a first-year). There's some listings for all three campuses

Sorry if this has been asked before. I am applying as a non-standard student to UNSW FOR 2023 entry and was wondering if UNSW considers both a combination of GPA and ATAR or just GPA?

My ATAR was 90 this year and as a non-rural student, I know that it is too low in terms of medicine entry (to be fair I had a lot of family problems going on and hence also received EAS). If UNSW does consider ATAR, is there a point in your degree like 2nd year or 3rd year when it stops considering your ATAR and instead only looks at your GPA/uni marks?

Obviously, I understand that the UCAT is essential in all scenarios but I'm just trying to figure out the uni/school marks part.

Thanks for reaching to MSO online. UNSW has changed their requirements for Interview Selection which states you have to achieve a 96.00 ATAR minimum (before any adjustment factors) in secondary education AND a WAM of 70 or above to be eligible. Unfortunately, that means you would be ineligible for UNSW considering your ATAR.

However, not to stress, there is still WSU and JMP (UoN and UNE) to consider. Your ATAR would still be too low for them but you can study in uni and earn their minimum GPA and apply that way. Note that both these unis use academic marks as a threshold and won’t actually be used to calculate the final offer places. Further, JCU and Bond are also options (just do well in uni and apply via non-standard pathway). However they are in QLD.

However, what we've seen is that the percentile threshold has increased in the past 2 years and personally I think it's going to increase once again - even if it's by a small amount. It's best to aim high as possible because aiming for a lower score may hinder your potential to achieve your highest and best score! Good luck And there's always help at MSO and I would recommend looking at Hazell's UCAT guide which was super helpful!

Sorry I am not sure if we do need it but I did have question regarding it. Do we need to order the lab coat and I am assuming the normal white coat for placements now?

I am not sure but remember reading somewhere that we need one long coat for lab and one short one as our white coat.
Edit - never mind its only a coat for lab. Don't remember where I read it but do slightly remember something like thatsorry for the confusion

I suggest you take a look at the offer and interview invite threads (links below) to gauge roughly what you require. Do note that you should be looking at your GPA and NOT your WAM.
