Based on those collated offers it seems that a 99.7 ATAR and a 96th Percentile UCAT should be enough for an EAS student to get an interview offer. Do you know if my final selection rank is higher due to EAS after the interview is considered too?

I'm not sure about the year just now but normally, 99.7+96th should get an interview invite even without EAS.

My understanding of how it works after the interview is you are ranked on the combination of ATAR (with any EAS bonus) + UCAT + Interview for a place offer in the main pool first. If you are not successful there, the EAS applicants are then ranked separately for the small number of places reserved for EAS.
 
Hello, I just wanted to confirm some information about the Campus preferencing at UNSW. From my understanding, preferencing a less popular campus isn’t actually increasing your chances of a spot, only ensuring that you aren’t considered for the more popular campuses. So it is best to preference in the order you wish, and you will be offered the highest ranked place you qualify for?

This is correct, preference whatever campus you would prefer!

Hi guys, was just wondering if there's any chance of non-standard entry into medicine at UNSW. My ATAR as 2021 leave was 95.5 and am on track to finish semester 2 with a 7.0 GPA.

UNSW have a minimum ATAR requirement which, from memory, is 96.00*. Below this, you are not eligible, unfortunately.

*my memory may not be quite right, so best to double check, but it’s around this.

I can confirm its 96 for domestic non rural students.

Edit. If you're rural the min. Atar is 91.

About changing double degree to single degree
Hi, my daughter submitted her application to UNSW medicine. However, she got an email about her double degree Actuarial Study + other degree in Macquarie University. UNSW will only recognise half year of her university study due to her change to double degree after 1st semester. My question is: whether or not she could change her double degree back to single degree before the census date 19/08/2022? MQ Uni strongly asked everybody with single degree to switch to double degree after 1st semester.

I think only MQ can give an accurate answer on this^. You need to act quickly to get it done in time, otherwise if UNSW treats your daughter's uni year as two separate semesters they may decide the GPA is not eligible and use her ATAR instead, which would disadvantage her.

it's too late. MQ told my daughter that the deadline for that double degree change had passed. Anyway, she just wanted to play the interview and her major target is still UQ dentistry. It seems everything is on the right track.
 
Hey, sorry if it's too late to ask, but when you're sending in your UNSW application (which is due early term 3) as a 1st Year nonstandard, do they only look at the WAM/GPA at the time of submission or will they consider the whole year?

Does UNSW have a lower ATAR cutoff for international students? I got 99%ile ISAT (190), and I'll be able to get around 99.20 ATAR. Will I have a chance for interviews (no special considerations)

If you're applying for an int'l full-fee place it's separate from the domestic pool and usually has lower cutoffs thanks to a lower ratio of applicants to places available.

That's amazing, thank you! I always thought it was in the same competitive pool as the domestic students. Realistically how much lower would the cutoff be?

A1 replies: Sorry I don't know the selection process/formula UNSW uses for int'l applicants so have no idea how much lower.
