UQ UQ Dentistry: Admissions General Discussion

For these types of question, I feel like calling QTAC is infinitely better, as only they can give 100% accurate information.

But as someone in a similar boat as you, I can give you some of my thoughts:

For your first question, I know the QTAC Key Dates website says the due date to apply is 20th of Jan for 28th of Jan round, but it also says on the top that NSW/ACT students are encouraged to change preferences by 5th Jan (which is today). So best to call QTAC to confirm this as you don't want to miss out.

For your second question, I am 99.95% sure that you don't have to inform UQ, all subject incentive scheme things are automatic. But again, ask QTAC if you are worried.

1. You can wait till then to apply
2. You don't have to inform UQ about your subjects
 
When does UQ dent 2022 offers get released? I think the offer round is January 13th but is there a specific time? Also, do they have a rejection letter?

Offers have been released, there aren't normally rejection letters. They are released during QTAC rounds

yep, this is what they say:

Dental Science - the required ranking for entry to Dental Science (adjusted rank of 99.00) is higher than that of the MD program (adjusted rank of 95.00), and that the minimum required UCAT score for a rank 99.00 dental science applicant is 3743 for the 2022 intake.

If a person who got SR 99 and 95%ile for the 4 sections still needs about SJT 640 to meet the minimum UCAT score, may UQ dent adopt interview soon just like what Griffith did for 2022?
 
Hi guys, does anyone know what the ATAR and UCAT cut off for UQ is? I've heard it's quite high but I know a few people who got in with ATARs around 98?

I believe someone just answered your question in an earlier post:
Atar requirement = 99
UCAT requirement = 3743 (including SJT)
But UQ gives bonus atar points to applicants who studied the following subjects:

2 points for passing a Queensland Studies Authority or comparable interstate LOTE subject
• 2 points for passing Mathematics C or its equivalent*
• 1 point for successfully completing a university-level course such as UQ’s Enhanced Studies Program or a similar ‘enrichment’ program via another Australian university.

If UQ dent remains as competitive as it is, they might. I think UQ med only started to interview applicants one or two years ago. The ucat/umat cut-off for uq dent used to be in the high 80s.

UQ would be unlikely to adopt such a policy without prior notice for 2022. They might introduce an interview but for a university it's better to select based on score as it's easier.

Does anyone know where I can access this information from? I just wanna confirm that it's actually 3743, before making changes to my preferences.
