Only if you're a rural applicant or local. If you're interstate non-rural then it's on actual ATAR and UCAT and won't be until Jan 2023.Does anyone know when Uni of Tasmania offers are out please? I think they do not have interviews but give offers on the predicted ATAR and UACT? Is this true?
No such thing as a guarantee!! Your chances would be better than most though as long as you have done the prerequisite subjects. Good luck.Hey,
I'm so sorry to be annoying.
I got a 99.95 atar and 99 ucat. I was wondering if this means I am guaranteed to get into UTas? I am non local so I understand there are very few places given to interstate applicants and I wanted to ask what the chance is of getting an offer in the first round.
Thank you![]()
Depends which med school. It frequently occurs at Adelaide but not often at the other schools.Has anyone ever went through this process/ heard of this ever happening (a bonded offer being converted to unbonded)?? If so, what do you think is the likelihood of this actually happening?
I’m an ex-UTAS student. Can confirm early offers fairly routinely get bumped up from BMP to CSP as people decline.Hello!
I got an offer for bonded medicine at utas for 2023. I am a Tasmanian local student. I got an ATAR of 99.15 and UCAT score of 84th percentile.
I was bummed that I got a bonded offer instead of unbonded so I emailed the admissions team to ask the selection criteria for bonded vs unbonded offers and they basically said that the selection criteria is the same. I also expressed my reluctance to accept a bonded offer and they said to me that "Acceptance of your bonded offer will not prevent the possibility of the place later becoming unbonded, as the offer rounds continue."

Sorry for the long paragraph, just wanted to make sure I get everything out there. Thanks in advanced
Oh ok! So if I accept my BMP offer now, I *might* get contacted by UTAS sometime before 20th Feb and get bumped up to CSP?I’m an ex-UTAS student. Can confirm early offers fairly routinely get bumped up from BMP to CSP as people decline.
Also, to clarify, selection criteria is the same. The initial lot of successful applicants will be ranked 1 - x. The bottom ~28% will receive BMPs. As people higher up the list decline, waitlisted candidates are moved into BMPs and some BMPs move out of the bottom 28% and into a CSP spot.
There’s no guarantee you’ll be someone who moves up, but there is definitely a possibility.
Did you hear back from UTAS in the first round?Hey,

I don’t know that UTAS Med accepts EAS, just rural background will boost ATAR (unless things have changed).if my actual atar is around a 98 but the EAS adjustment factors boost my atar to a 99.95, will I have a chance at UTAS medicine as an interstate non-rural applicant?
I don't think you realise this but you need to sit GAMSAT as a postgraduate applicant (you cannot be non standard). This pathway only started for the 2023 Entry cycle so inevitably, any data is rare to come across.Hey all, I was checking the UTAS website today and found that non-UTAS, non-TAS graduate applicants can apply for the BMedScMD program in 2024. Anyone have an idea on the scores needed to get in through this pathway? I'm assuming its astronomical bordering impossible so would be keen to know if any one has gotten an offer through this.
Yeah I know this, I've got a 6.95 GPA on a completed Bachelors and a 69 GAMSAT. This pathway started last year as well so I was curious to see if any graduates got accepted (https://courses.its.utas.edu.au/__d...1*1lkm7xp*_gcl_au*NzcxOTA3NTkyLjE2OTU4NTY3MDQ.)I don't think you realise this but you need to sit GAMSAT as a postgraduate applicant (you cannot be non standard). We don’t often get graduate/GAMSAT pathway data here. Paging Dr may have collected some last year, you could try the.Yeah I know this, I've got a 6.95 GPA on a completed Bachelors and a 69 GAMSAT.
