Can someone pls explain how on earth this happened? I thought I wouldn't get a UTAS offer based on my low section 2? And even so my overall UMAT is pretty low for a non-rural applicant so I was so surprised to get an unboned offer. Thanks!

It might be (it's happened before); it's also likely that they're using completely new criteria this year. Who knows?? Congrats on your offer

We honestly don't know! All offers have been for HSC students. It seems weird that no offers have been reported from any other state. And also that the UTAS website says interstate offers won't go out until January. But then, UTAS do like to play fast and loose with their own statements so... who freaking knows, haha!!

This was likely to have been an international student. International med offers for UAdel have been going out for a little while and there were rumours here of another round being imminent, so that was probably it. Thanks for letting us know, we have some keen international beans waiting on UAdel, so I'll pass this on.

It doesn't really help if you just give one-line information like that. He's interstate from NSW but still could be an int'l student doing Y12 in NSW? Is it possible he got in via the Indigenous pathway (e.g. one such was offered Curtin back in July). Can you post his ATAR and UMAT, some content of his offer email, was it from the uni or from SATAC?

He is OZ and y12 not rural or indigenous for sure and got the email from UAdel. I didn't hear any other people get an offer from UAdel.
