I recieved an email which says CSU dent has to be my first preference in order to be considered for the 13th Jan round. Is it okay if I place it first for now and on the 14th, place UNSW as my first preference?

ooo so that means you got an offer right? and to "get" it you need to preference it first? congrats!!!!!I recieved an email which says CSU dent has to be my first preference in order to be considered for the 13th Jan round. Preference rank has never before been a factor in determining interview eligibility for UNSW. It has just had to be there in your list somewhere. We’ve not heard anything to suggest this has changed for this year.
Thank you!!!Yep dw there are high achievers (99.95 + 99 ucat) every year who put usyd first and unsw second, and they receive interview offers from both.
That's not what the email from CSU meansooo so that means you got an offer right? and to "get" it you need to preference it first? congrats!!!!!
Preference changes for 13th of Jan round closed midnight yesterday unfortunately.. But if you have a look at this post: Aus Med and Dent Place Offers 2021 Entry - Collated Data you see that last year, people got December Round 1 offers (equivalent to January Round 1 this year due to ATAR delay) when CSU Dent was their 4th pref (CSU told them they must put CSU as 1st pref last year too), so the first pref thing does not really matter. Of course no guarantee it will be same this year, but yeah..I recieved an email which says CSU dent has to be my first preference in order to be considered for the 13th Jan round. oh damn (ahhh sorry!!) - i assumed it was like the usyd calls my bad T-TThat's not what the email from CSU means
You can conditionally accept the Griffith dent offer and then in later rounds, you'll be considered for your higher preference (jcu dent). If you receive jcu dent (i hope you do), then you'll lose you griffith dent seat.hi, i just got an offer for Griffith dent (super super happy), but jcu dent was my first pref mainly because of fees, do I have no choice but to accept or reject the offer without being able to get a response in round 2 offers.
You won't instantly lose your Griffith dent seat, you'll actually hold both offers, so remember to unenroll from one.You can conditionally accept the Griffith dent offer and then in later rounds, you'll be considered for your higher preference (jcu dent). Oh okay! That's what I recall reading on the offers page however I may have misunderstood. You won't instantly lose your Griffith dent seat, you'll actually hold both offers, so remember to unenroll from one.
CorrectI want to confirm that if I accept an offer from CSU this round (my 4th preference), it won't impact my chances of getting first preference in the next round (in which med offers get sent out)?
I had thought the same as cocodreams so I'm a bit confusedYou won't instantly lose your Griffith dent seat, you'll actually hold both offers, so remember to unenroll from one.
1. Yesheyy, i got an offer for griffith dent as well and wanted to know what they mean by 'you must enrol within 4 days... otherwise your offer will lapse'. since med offers are coming out after the '4 days' and id like to wait for those, will enrolling:
1. take the spot of another potential candidate
2. not allow me to accept future offers (e.g. med offers)
See if you can confirm with UAC the lock-out dates, then you can easily switch them around outside of those. I’m not sure if those dates are published or if you’ll have to contact them.So second round offers release on 26 january (includes JMP) and the february first round is on 3rd feb (where UNSW sends out its offers). Since I have to make sure that from 21 Jan UNSW is my top preference, should I keep it my top preference all the way/ I don't want to encounter a problem where I don't receive a JMP offer on 26 january just because of preferencingAdvice will be appreciated!!
The only way to maximise your chances of getting UON is to preference JMP #1 and keep your fingers crossed, to be brutally honest. Given your UCAT and GPA are now irrelevant for JMP, it all hinges on your interview performance.Hey guys, I've got a bit of a dilemma with preferencing. My preferences would be uon>unsw>une, but clearly there isn't a way to preference uon and une separately. My GPA is 7.0 and UCAT is 3110, to give you an idea of my chances for unsw. As there seems to be only 1 round(?) what should I do in order to maximise my chances of getting my preferred offer?
Yeah I thought as much. Thank you for your advice! The only way to maximise your chances of getting UON is to preference JMP #1 and keep your fingers crossed, to be brutally honest. Given your UCAT and GPA are now irrelevant for JMP, it all hinges on your interview performance.
