thanks so much for offering

oh and any tips for the sheep heart lab? i hear it's difficult :(

The sheep heart lab isn't bad at all. It's quite simple in my opinion. I've even taught that lab before (I was a medsci 142 lab tutor 2 years ago). Just follow the instructions and it will all be fine!

of which you may be required to reproduce one or have an understanding of to answer some questions (it's good to learn if you're planning to do further biochemistry or want to know about how drugs bind to targets or how oxygen binds to Hb blabla)

Try to memorise the equations as well. Last year he told us we didn't need to. Guess what came up in the test.

wow you serious, I completely skipped through those parts. @ govpop 106 is so boring that I stopped attending the lectures.(yy) On a side note, the sheep lab had some questions that I didn't expect to appear but I think I did well anyhow. ^_^

whyy biosci106 whyyyy

why do you exist (n)

anyone know what the equations actually mean? i can't get my head around it
or do we just need to know whether vmax or km changes?

Oh and anyone know if we need to know the delta G values for glycolysis?
I've been falling asleep in the biochem lectures -_-

I don't remember anything from 106 really, so can't help you there. But if in doubt, memorise. That's how 106 works. And remember the graphs. Many people lost 10 marks last year because they drew the wrong graph.

kudos to anyone that finished the physics test on time and feels confident.
N.B I think they stuffed up with the boat question, didn't think the right answer was there.

Hahahahahaha agreed. I wasnt even close to finishing. Hopefully will scrape a pass...maybe not though! Yeah same with me...i thought there were quite a few rounding errors too!

wow its good to know physics is really enhancing my guessing skills
hope that kicks in tomorrow too

good luck everyone!
(yy)

Wow the enzyme part in biochem was unexpected haha

Yup! thats for sure! out of all the things he had to pick, he picked the membrane lol! its been drilled into my head since they practically teach u the basics of the cell membrane in almst every biosci paper!
