Yes, Gray's anatomy will finally be mine! Not excited about carrying books all the way back...need a strong pair of man arms.

Urgh textbooks are a nightmare in general. Hope I won't have to bring them onto any flight.

Omg so much to read lol. I didn't even know we were gonna have a ball. Not sure what "Come dressed in your best pirate gears (or wench gears)" means...is that like formal wear?

So much paperwork and the year hasn't even started yet! I want to talk to some med students and ask them whether I should get the books second-hand and which ones are absolutely essential.

I'm really not sure... the word "ball" and "Larnach castle" makes me think formal gear but the Oweek pdf makes me wonder if we're meant to dress up in jungle style.

I wish I knew some second years I could contact :(
Yeah it sounds really grand. I think I'll just go with the formal stuff and blame it on the fact that it was called a "ball" if it turns out to be non-formal.

You could read that for a bit of light reading over the holidays.

Your O-week sounds really fun actually, unless maybe you get voted out of your tribe on the first day...'Skyglow, your tribe has spoken' *Puts out flame.*

I know a couple of 2nd years but unfortunately they're all on holiday overseas.

Does anyone know where i can get information on enrolment, papers we'll be studying and key dates prior to starting the semester? I'm gonna go overseas for holiday too but dont know when I should be back by.

The university website doesnt really help much lol

Ehehe Dr House style with the bunsen burners ;)

They will probably email you telling you where to go to find it, gig.

I think they will be sending out letters and things with all the information we need, which should arrive in the next few days. I don't think we need to enrol in courses ourselves, seeing as everyone will be doing the same things, we are just automatically put in.

you will be sent an information pack in the next few days with stuff about freshers, the course etc blah blah

And everyone would be known by a number haha. I'm so looking forward to understanding all the medical-speak in the TV shows, and knowing when what theyre saying is completely wrong, or rubbish.

Lordgarlic, should I keep any of my text books from this year? Will any be useful?
