Yeah, I think there is. Well at least it says in the course folder...

Regardless I'll need to be there anyway for pophlth and 107 review

Ahaha, of course XD
Sweet, one less lecture to go to! I'm seriously tempted to ditch 101 on Friday though (I believe they still put the lecture recordings up for the review?)

I've already decided not to go, don't think it's worth the travel time just for 1 review of 101. And i think they've been posting up the recordings (y)

Btw, how is everyone tackling Poplhlth? Just learning the lecture slides?
Looking at the exam papers it appears to mostly ask for information from the slides, and some questions ask for examples
Eg. If a question asks to give an example of a primary disease prevention strategy for obesity, would just stating something like introducing taxes on fast food be ok?
Its a bit hard to gauge how much to write from the papers online

Oh yeah, I checked on Cecil and they do indeed put up the recordings! (Why are they so nice to us now? :p Heh.)

For me, I'm just going to reread my notes that I made before the second test, I suppose, and maybe if I have enough time just synthesise them into managable chunks ^_^

I myself haven't started looking at the exam papers yet, but if that's the case, learning the slides should cover most of the material we need to know.

Does the question just ask for an example of a primary prevention strategy (for, say, obesity), and nothing else? No explanation needed or so forth? Then an answer like the introduction of taxes on fast food is fine, bearing in mind that other factors may contribute more to the chronic disease than others, and as such, may not be the most effective primary prevention strategy. (Though if the question did not specifically state that, then ignore what I just said :p)

If you really want an evaluation and helpful feedback for the answers that you write for the past exam questions, I reckon it wouldn't be wasted time to go to MAC 1/MAC 2 for a chat with the lecturers at the allocated time slots.

Er, I assume you mean that there's no indication for how much to write for the exam? You get lined paper like in NCEA English, so you are free to write as much or as less as you feel like in 3 hours :)

Ok, I was wondeirng whether we need to learn the general trends from all of the graphs for the POPLHLTH111 exam? I've forgot whether the lecturers had already mentioned something like that... >_<

I dont think the lecturers have pointed out any particular trends we need/dont need to learn. We definitely dont need to know the numbers. But I am learning the general trends for most graphs, although im not sure to what extent it will be useful

lulwut's post = somewhat original (hey, it rhymed!)
Hopefully's post = terribly unoriginal (come on, if you're going to rip out Dunedin choose a more predictable target than the climate)

I declare lulwut the winner.

:p
