got an interview today!! (im from cowra, western nsw btw) the only thing is its in the middle of my schoolies! so ive decided to fly from port mac to townsville and back in 2 days haha. Good luck to all you guys still waiting..

hey, i see your from cowra!- sort of near me...when did you get your linterview letter? (i was realllly hoping to get one)...

i organised my schoolies in the first week (21st-28th) to avoid clashes with any possible interviews ....

also does anyone know if jcu does many/any second round interviews?

I called them two days ago.. and they said they had sent out some offers but not all.. but they did say that if I were to receive one it would come in the next 1 - 2 business days. idk if they send out individual offers if someone rejects it though, but they also said they've given out 500 offers.

... yer but i dont think i'll get anything if JCU didn't even pick me then i highly doubt i'll get anything my umat score so too low and my OP/enter wasn't that great either im sure their are heaps of ppl with higher marks than I.

dont look at umat at all.I have heard of locals getting in with OP 5.Its interstate people seem to need Op3 or even higher.

Are you sure it's 300? That seems a ridiculously high intake from interview (60%)....I thought it was around 150

Edit: The wiki entry says 190-200

I think it means 500 invites...not places

yeh I think its still 150 or so places,but moody says they are giving out more places these days.I dont think that includes internationals,just school leavers,then 15 or so grad or non standards.

i think its great that jcu do so many interviews! i think its a great way to decide who gets into med!
