CSU CSU Dentistry: Q&A and General Discussion

Does anyone know what the interview offer process was like last year? Did all successful recipients get it on the first day, or over a few days?

Also those who haven't received invites maybe should mention if they are procter exam or not, as that could cause a delay or something.
 
I haven't received an invite and did my exam on the 31st of July before the proctor. I got a 3090 and 561 sjt with CSU as my 4th preference.

Damn thats like 95th percentile lol, you should defo get an invite, thats straight up unfair if people will UCAT's in low 90s, and a 89th percentile got one.

Also I really doubt its SJT for people that are wondering that, as I got a 656 SJT and no offer (which is 10 points lower than the other dude who had the same preference (3rd) and similar ucat to me - unless there's a sjt cutoff that increases based on how low your preference is, which i missed out on by 10 points but like that's so unlikely).

Maybe it's based on area? Or idk age? This is so bad that Universities make the criteria and offer process so vague, it's unfair for the applicant lol

Chill it's ok, nothing is set in stone until next week. It's quite likely that not all the invites have gone out, but either way we won't know until next week. Nobody can do anything about it until Monday anyway so there's no point worrying just yet until we actually know something is wrong. All this stress might end up being for nothing, who knows.
 
For 2021 entry, UNSW med caused an uproar because interview invites were sent to lower ranking UCAT students and higher ones missed out. A few days later, the higher ucat students got their invites

My comments:
- Yes & No groups both have similar high & low scores in each section. This indicates no particular heavy weighting on any section
- 3300+99.95 has said maybe it's combo of [%ile + pref]. This seemed true until we see 3000 3rd pref Yes vs 3010 3rd pref No

- There's a small possibility CSU has added SJ to Overall score. This would explain among the 3rd prefs, (3000+663) is Yes while (3010+600) and (2960+646) are No.

Anyway I'm beat, over to someone keen to speculate further :)

I am a non-standard as well

I dont think it is a non-standard thing however as my friend is a non-standard with a 2940 UCAT got an invite

I am a little confused however why there are offer invites for people with 89th percentile UCAT? Wasnt the last year cut-off around 95/96?
 
Hi just wondering if anyone has heard anything from csu dent? I heard the med interview invites came out and I find it quite strange they sent all the meds but supposedly haven’t finished sending dent

Yes but a lot of people with high UCAT marks didn’t receive an offer interview invite and the CSU student services team have said more should be coming out on Monday so I wasn’t sure if any more came out today

I'm still confused as to how I got one with 2840, I'm a non-standard with 6.3 GPA finishing my degree next week. Tbh I'm waiting for the "Oh that was a mistake" email 😂😭

Have 3 degrees with my most recent GPA being 6.625 ❤️
