CSU CSU Dentistry: Q&A and General Discussion

My UCAT section scores were quite low actually (my SJT was 654 though). However, I enrolled as a CSU student this year and planned on entering via that pathway instead of through UCAT (on the website it says interviews will be granted to students who have a year of study with a GPA of 5.5 or above)
Hi Jbebs just wondering if you received an interview invite for dent? As you are also a current CSU studentHey there! I’m applying to CSU as a current CSU student and the only requirements to get an interview is a gpa of 5.5 or higher and that your ATAR is above 90 or if you have done previous tertiary study, they’ll convert that to an ATAR equivalent. It says ‘will be granted an interview’ so ye it should be guaranteed. You don’t need ucat unless you don’t don’t meet the criteria. Hope this helps.
This only applies to the domestic students. Are you an international applicant?
International applicants
The closing date for application is the last Friday in May with interview held online in late June/early July
or did you complete 8 units at least?
Yeah, I’m a domestic student. I’ve also completed 8 units this year
Do you guys think more interview invites will be coming out? Or should I call to check again?

They said more invites still coming this week and if we don’t get one we will get a rejection email :/
I just think it’s so strange to release them so far apart

did they say whether everyone will get a definite yes or no by the end of the week? or could it potentially go on even longer
Yeah they said everyone should get a definite yes or no this week but I’m not sure if it would go on longer

However, they said that since I’ve studied full time at CSU for the past year, they don’t look at my UCAT scores. I’m worried there’s been a mistake and they’ve only looked at the UCAT score instead of seeing that I am an internal student.

I doubt that, I haven't gotten an invite either, and a large amount of students with UCAT percentiles higher than the percentiles received by current applicants still have no email. Most likely we just gotta play with waiting game.Yeah I thought so too :/ Thank you!

I don’t think they’re reject emails. I called them and they seemed just as confused as to I was. SRS is based off year 11 results, and we never sat the ucat in year 11, so it’s v impossible to get one that way lol. She said after that a second formal email will still come for acception or rejection.Oh no guys
